Dr. Ferreira was born in 1963, the youngest of 6 children, in a city called Cochabamba, Bolivia, SA. His Father, Dr. Luis Mario Ferreira, was a dentist also. Dr. Ferreira has grown up around a dental office, and he has learned many skills and gained much experience from his father. Dr. Ferreira has been in the USA for more than 30 years, and he has been practicing dentistry for 17 years now. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Ferreira was a Registered Dental Hygienist for 12 years. This is what has lead him to hold preventive dentistry as his primary mission.

Dr. Ferreira takes the time to LISTEN to his patients and hear their concerns. He is extremely GENTLE, and you can trust him to help you comfortably maintain the health and beauty of your teeth. You will see Dr. Ferreira every time you visit, and he will know you and your family by name. Dr. Ferreira only recommends treatment that is truly necessary; his approach is conservative, and his treatment is always geared to helping every patient get or keep their teeth and gums in the healthiest state possible. Dr. Ferreira is licensed with the New Mexico Board of Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Board of Dentistry, and the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy. Dr. Ferreira is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New Mexico Dental Association, the Santa Fe District Dental Society, and the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA).

Dr. Jorge Ferreira currently resides in Nambe with his family, and has lived in Northern New Mexico for 19 years now. Dr. Ferreira enjoys spending time with his family and friends; he enjoys skiing with his family in winter and golfing with his son in the summer. He also likes to hike, backpack, and travel, and he enjoys discussing history and geopolitics.

Denise was born and raised in Penasco, NM. She is a long-standing employee with Dr. Ferreira, and was a dental assistant to Dr. Ferreira from 2003 to 2005. Denise then left to attend hygiene school. Upon graduation, Denise returned to Dr. Ferreira to work as his Dental Hygienist, and we are happy to say has been with our team ever since! Denise enjoys spending time with her husband two children, and extended family.

Liz Romero is our Treatment Plan Coordinator. By training, Liz is a Registered Dental Assistant, licensed to take radiographs, perform coronal polishing, administer fluoride, and place sealants. Although she does not appear to be old enough, Liz has more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, both in dental assisting and helping patients at the front desk. Liz helps explain to our patients the treatment they need, and she responds to any clinical questions or issues regarding treatment that might arise. Liz also advises our patients on their insurance coverage, and she provides estimates of patient cost for the treatment they need. When necessary, Liz helps patients a way to afford the treatment they need.

Liz was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM, and she is close with her family, who also resides in this area. She graduated from Santa Fe High School, and she continues to reside in Santa Fe, as she has her whole life. Liz enjoys spending as much time as possible with her grandbaby and her daughter. She also enjoys spending time with friends, being with her dog Charlie, and staying fit by swimming and walking on her lunch break.

Born and raised in Pojoaque, NM, Aundrea grew up as a patient in Dr. Ferreiras practice. When she chose to study dental assisting, it was natural for her to spend time observing and getting some practical experience alongside Dr. Ferreira in his practice. The only logical next step was to have Aundrea formally join the team. She has been an amazing asset to our team since October 2016! Aundrea loves animals and spending time with her close family and friends.

Lu-Anne was born and raised in Buffalo NY. She got her BA in Psychology and Business Administration at the University of Buffalo. She went on to obtain her Masters in Instructional Design/Performance Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Lu-Anne has worked for large companies such as Eastman Kodak Company, small companies, and consulting firms; she has worked in the private sector at For Profit Companies, as well as the public sector with Not-For Profit Organizations aimed at helping people and local communities.

When she moved to northern NM in 2000 with her husband Dr. Jorge Ferreira, it was not her plan to manage her husbands dental practice. It was her plan to be a stay home mom and raise children. However, things worked out differently, and her time and talents were needed at the practice. She now has 19 years of experience managing the office. Lu-Annes diverse business education and experience, proves relevant and helpful every day in rising to the challenge of managing Dr. Ferreiras private dental practice. Her biggest joy is seeing and staying in touch with the patients of the practicethey feel like members of the family!
