Dr. Powell is a native of Holladay. He graduated from The University of Utah and The University of Iowa School of Dentistry. Dr. Powell has completed multiple continuing education courses in sedation dentistry, cosmetic restorations, Invisalign, general orthodontics, implant placement, and endodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Utah Academy of General Dentistry, Salt Lake Dental Society, and Academy of LDS Dentists.
He has dedicated his professional career to providing patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Powells practice exceeds the standard of care, providing the newest dental techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to meet the needs of each patient with advanced, comfortable, and personalized dental care.

Always a pleasant experience. Staff and dentist make what could for most people be an unpleasant place to be a happy and vibrant one. I have tried an other dentist and find me wanting to come back here. They are also incredibly helpful with payment plans being an option.

The only thing that was decent was the staff were friendly and decent with me. Maybe a bit too talkative with me though. My first visit consisted of just going over what the plan was. No cleaning at all. There went my free annual cleaning visit just talking. Otherwise it was up-sale after up-sale. Once they heard I hadn't been to the dentist in a while I feel they took advantage of that opportunity. They decided to do a "deep cleaning"? Which consisted of me going in one day, them cleaning half my teeth, then going in another day, them cleaning the other half of my teeth. That really didn't make sense to me. Why not just do one longer visit and be done?? It's simple I think, more office visits equals more money for them. The dentist I'm seeing now said they shouldn't have needed to do a deep cleaning unless my gums had deep pockets and were receding. I didn't have any of that and my current dentist said my tissue looks amazing. It seems this office is more about making a buck off you then caring for your teeth.

Office seemed poorly ran. There is a continual staff turnover. Never seen the same staff twice. I assume they're just out of school, and are training in their first job in dentistry, which explains the lack of experience and professionalism.

This is the worst most corrupt dentist I've even used. He has no idea what he is doing and charge s more than what he tells you the cost is. You will end up going to another dentist and paying again to fix his mistakes. I did.

I wish I can give them no stars! The worst dentist! I haven't been to a dentist for a couple years due to being self employed with no dental insurance and having high anxiety with past dentist experiences. When I get there the dental assistant [I wish I got her name] said I didn't need a cleaning. What kind of dentist doesn't do any cleaning for check ups especially since I haven't been to a dentist in years. Dr.Powell is a great person but he needs a new hygienist or assistant [not sure what she is]. After I decided not to go back I texted their text reminders telling them I was not going to make the next appointment, they charged me $50 for a no show because they said they didn't receive my text. They are the worst!!
