Dr. Councill is a native of Western North Carolina. There is a reason we call the sky Carolina Blue, and he is no stranger to the why. Dr. Councill attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a thirst for knowledge that he still has to this day. After graduation, Dr. Councill worked in the Department of Cell and Molecular Physiology where he gained a greater understanding of science that eventually lead to the pursuit of a career in dentistry. Dr. Councill moved to Nashville, TN in his pursuit for his dental education. There he obtained his Dental Degree as well as courted and married his lovely wife Tiffany. He and his wife Tiffany returned to Western North Carolina where they decided to raise a family. They have a home in Arden, NC and enjoy the beauty that Asheville has to offer.
Charlie Griffin Patient Coordinator Charlie is Georgia-born and lived in Tennessee most of his life, only recently moving to the Asheville area. He enjoys all sorts of fiction, from reading, to the movies, and even dabbles in writing during his own time. Charlie believes that the most fulfilling days are the days he was able to help someone out.

ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I had an upper plate made by dr Councill. I paid extra to have it made digitally so it could be replaced without going through the process of dental casting again. I've contacted his office manager via phone three times without receiving any response other than he's looking into it. I've now sent an email directly to Dr Councill and have received no response after 7 days. This is a disgusting display of unprofessional as well as a complete lack of common courtesy one human should give another. I left the clinic initially because his technician and front desk help were very rude. (Neither is employed there anymore). Now due to his hurt ego. I'll have to spend $8-$10,000 to have a new plate made.

I really dread going to the dentist, even just to get my teeth cleaned; but honestly going to Dr. Councill's office is not a drag. Everyone is friendly and kind while at the same time competent. I always leave there feeling well taken care of by all.

Yesterday was my first dental appointment with Dr. Councill and Dogwood Dental and I was very satisfied. There was no waiting to be admitted and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Councill was very thorough and practical in his examination and guidance. And my teeth were cleaned very thoroughly and gently! Highly recommended 8o)

Quick covid-19 check-in over the phone, temp check at the door, and then right into your appointment from there. Staff is always kind across the board.

Everyone is cordial and considerate. All listen to my jabbering and express interest in my life saga as I share. I never dread the dentist as I did in years past. Dr.C is the best as far as I am concerned!

It's not often you see a review on a dentist. Starting with Charlie, who greeted me and started the process, was very accommodating and efficient. Being attended to by Marina. the Dental Assistant and Mackenzie, who handled all the cleanings, was a stress free, professional and enjoyable experience that one never boasts about after visiting the dentist. Dr Councill himself was very professional but put you at ease which for me was the most important part of my visit. The whole experience actually has me looking forward to my next visit.

Dr. Councill and the rest of the Dogwood Dental practice truly go above and beyond! I am always pleased not only with how friendly everyone is, but also with Dr. Councill's knowledge, and his ability to share that knowledge. Dr. Councill's focus is on preventative care, which is very important to me. I highly recommend this practice!

This is an AWESOME dental office! Charlie greets you when you come in, they are always on time, and everyone is always professional with upbeat personalities. It is always cold so they provide you with fuzzy blankets. All of their equipment is state of the art and the practice is kept super clean. Dr. Council is an AMAZING dentist! I don't even live in Asheville anymore and there is no way I would consider getting a different dentist!!!!

Everyone was friendly and caring- from the front office staff, to dental hygienist, to the dentist. Dr. Councill was easy to talk with and provided me with a lot of education. There is an elevator that patients can use to get to the office if needed.
