In 2007, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After graduation, Dr. Hayes began his Naval career at Naval Hospital Great Lakes completing a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. After his residency, Dr. Hayes was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan and spent over 2 years onboard. During this time he was deployed twice to the Middle East in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After 4 years of Naval service Dr. Hayes and his family made the decision to move back to SW Missouri.
Dr. Hayes had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Thompson and his team in the spring of 2011 and decided Joplin was where life would take them next. Dr. Hayes has been married to his high school sweetheart since 2003 and they have 2 children, Craig and Audrey. He enjoys playing many sports and closely follows the Missouri Tigers, as well as spending time outdoors hunting deer, turkey, and elk. Although he is no longer on active duty in the US Navy, Dr. Hayes is a true patriot and has tremendous respect for those who have served.
My family was greeted warmly by the ladies in the front office as we entered. We were brought back by our hygienists quickly. My children saw Shauna, I saw Sylvia. My kids loved Shauna and I found Sylvia to be personable, pleasant, gentle, and thorough. Dr. Hayes was professional, knowledgeable, and expertly answered my questions without making me feel like he was rushed to leave the room. Joplin Dental Care is the only office that I trust with my family, which is why I drive 2 hours from Kansas City to be seen there. Great place, great people!!
Joplin Dental Care is amazing! I have a huge fear of any work being done on my teeth, however I didnt have this fear today. They make you feel comfortable and truly care about your dental hygiene. 5/5 stars for sure!
The staff is very helpful, and kind. I am so glad that I was able to meet them. I hate going to the dentist, but because they made me feel comfortable I cant wait to go back. Thank you guys for everything yesterday.
Dr. Hayes and his staff are amazing! They take great care of my family. They are always patient, kind, and caring. My daughter has anxiety with dental procedures and they always make sure to calm her fears.

Sept 2022, As always, the best service, I only got my teeth cleaned today, but the dental hygienist did a thorough job. Dr. Hayes did a great job identifying some problem areas I have and his dental hygienist did a great job plus she was extremely friendly. On my recent visit May 2022, Dr. Hayes and his staff worked me in for an emergency dental problem, which was causing me extreme pain, and I thank you so much for seeing me so quickly. And I'm looking forward to the dental Implant that you're designing for me, which will replace the tooth that couldn't be saved, but at 62 years old....I gave that tooth a run for it money. In other words, nothing last forever. But I completely trust Doctor Hayes and his staff, that I'll be in good hands next week when they remove my decade tooth and replace it with an Implant.

I am greeted by name when I walk in the door and only wait a few minutes before I am called back and my hygienist is awesome and tells me everything she is doing as she is doing it , then she scheduled my next cleaning as I was sitting in the chair, she walks me to the front desk, updates the staff on everything and tells me to have a great day. The front office staff smile and ask how I am and get me checked out all the while smiling and chatting with me and offered me fresh baked cookies... this dental office is amazing and I hope that everyone has a dental family like I do.

I have had an amazing experience everytime I have visited, I have had a lot of work done over the last year, and the ladies are so sweet and never make me feel embarrassed about my dental situation. We came up with a care plan and I executed it whenever it's convenient for me. They are absolutely amazing with working around your work schedule or if you need to reschedule at last minute. Dr. Hayes is so great, he explains everything and he checks and double checks just to make sure everything is perfect. I would recommend Dr Hayes and staff for everyone's Dental needs!
