Dr. Tyler Owens grew up in St. George, Utah. Upon receiving his bachelors degree in Biology from Brigham Young University, he attended the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Dr. Owens participated in multiple mission trips to underserved areas of the world, where he discovered his passion for pediatric dental care. Treating children during these trips led him to complete his residency and training at NYU Lutheran Pediatrics.
Dr. Owens and his wife, Kristen, have four children: Ryan, Ryder, Olivia, and Charlotte. When he is not in the office, Dr. Owens loves outdoor activities, learning new things and spending time with his family.
A board-certified pediatric dentist, like Dr. Owens, has gone through a rigorous examination process with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Only dentists that have completed a residency in pediatric dentistry can sit for the board certification examinations. Board certification tests the knowledge and problem-solving abilities of a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Rosenberg has been a pediatric dentist in Joplin since graduating from the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City. His internship and pediatric residency were completed at Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City as well. He began his private pediatric practice in the Medical Arts Building before building his permanent office at 2602 Picher in 1972.
Shelli is the office manager and has been with Dr. Rosenberg since August 1985. When asked what she enjoys doing in her spare time Shelli always answers; spending time with Jax, McLaren, and Dallas (her grandson, grand-daughter, and daughter), cats (Libby, Lucy, BC, & Dewey), and doing nothing!
Sue has been an assistant for Dr. Rosenberg for nearly 30 years. Our Queen of assisting is married to (her King) Tony. They enjoy living in the country. Tony is a musician and they travel to local boot-scootin events most week-ends. Their dogs, Speck and Dollar enjoy the trips to McDonalds!
Rachel has been one of our assistants since 2000. Rachel assists not only in the offices but at the hospital with Dr. Rosenberg as well. Rachel is a child charmer; the patients will do anything for her! Rachel and her husband Jon have three girls, Ella, Aubrey, and Ansley. They are very active with church, dance, and ballgames.

Thank the good lord for Joplin Dentistry. Our two year busted one of her front teeth after 5p (office hours). Upon disconnecting the initial call to the office we received a follow up text that put us in contact with an actual individual. We were able to schedule an emergency extraction within 24 hours. We had the option to come in immediately or to delay to the next morning. Overall, the team operated in a timely, professional and compassionate manner. We are grateful.

The kids love going here. They get to watch a movie while they get their teeth cleaned and checked. The staff is friendly and the dentist is great with kids, especially ones with dental anxiety. I love that the dentist explained what he was going to do and how it was going to feel. It made my kids less nervous. Definitely recommend Joplin's Children Dentristy.

Joplin Children's Dentistry is a wonderful place to take your children to get their dental needs taken care of. They helped to get us in for some last minute appointments which was such a relief. Everyone who works there was so friendly and their waiting room was very inviting and had many activities for the children to play with while they waited for their appointments. Highly recommend this place!

We love this place Dr Rosenberg and Dr Owen are awesome and the staff is awesome also very kind and very compassionate with my grandson who is mainly physically disabled I recommend this place to anybody that has children

We love Joplin Children's Dentistry! We've been taking our kids there for a few years and have always had great experiences with Dr. Tyler Owens and his staff. They are always friendly, get you back quickly and treat your kids with kindness. Dr. Owens is always very informative when your child has any dental issues and always eases that "mom guilt". I highly recommend!

I took my two year old to this dentist office for the first time today and everyone was amazing. He would not set in the chair because he was scared. They did not push him to do something he did not want to do. Instead they made him feel comfortable and let him lay on my lap and the dr brushed his teeth. We love it there. My son also has been having a lot of doctors visits lately for a condition he was just diagnosed with. The eye doctor has been the most scary and painful for him so far. He had just a regular routine visit today and was terrified because of his eye visits. The doctor was so patient with him. Even though he was unable to do a check up he did not make my son or me feel bad at all. He completely understand why my son was so scared. I can not say enough great things about the whole staff.
