Dr. Joosse is a board certified orthodontist practicing at Joosse Family Orthodontics in Williamsburg, Va. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the College of William and Mary (Go Tribe!), his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Science in Education in Higher Education while he was in dental school. Dr. Joosse also received his Advanced Education in General Dentistry at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, CA. He served 5 years as a general dentist in the United States Air Force, mostly at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. There, he was awarded Company Grade Officer of the Year for the Medical Group and Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the entire base. Dr. Joosse completed his orthodontic residency at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Dentistry for his research during residency.
Dr. Joosses interest in orthodontics was first sparked at dental school during a wire bending course, but he really found his passion for orthodontics during his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program. He had the opportunity to practice orthodontics and loved thinking about the movement of teeth in space. He also loved how eager his patients were to see him and how much of a difference orthodontics could make for their self-esteem.
He feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend a top-notch orthodontic residency program at the University of the Pacific; the university where Invisalign was and continues to be developed. He feels that his education in Invisalign was exemplary and that his instructors demanded excellence. Dr. Joosse was board certified within six months of graduation and after residency, he and his wife Alex moved to Virginia. To Dr. Joosse, Virginia was always home, he feels a kinship with people here and its the people of Virginia who he wants to serve.

Dr. Joosse is the most personable Doctor you will ever meet. He sincerely cares about the his patients and is actively involved in every step of the Orthodontic process. Dr. Joosse was amazing! The staff was so helpful and kind. The whole experience from start to finish was seamless and easy. I'm so happy I made the investment in my smile. I knew that I would like having my teeth straight but I underestimated how much confidence and happiness it would give me. I can't say enough good things about the people at Joose Family Orthodontics and the entire process. Five stars all day long!

I have had an awesome experience the entire time I've been helped at Joosse Orthodontics. They have been keeping me updated the entire way through the treatment plan and make sure to send videos of what they are thinking of doing next. They let you know what they are thinking and will change plans to make sure you get the best looking smile. All the people in the back keep you smiling and having a good time while the people up front will keep you joyed to be entering. No complaints so far.

We had a WONDERFUL experience at JFO! Every phone call was greeted by someone extremely friendly and helpful, every appointment had little to no wait time and Dr. Joosse always came out and explained what he had done during the appointment and what was next in our treatment plan. I would highly recommend Joosse Family Orthodontics to anyone and everyone! My kids love Dr. J and his staff as well, they made braces FUN!!!

So thankful! We were visiting from out of state and of course we needed my son's braces fixed. They welcomed us with open arms and were so welcoming. The whole team made it easy for us to feel right at home!

I been going to Dr. Joosse for over a year and i can not express how amazing and wonderful the entire staff is. Starting with the front desk Jackie, she greets you with a smile and is one of the nicest people i have ever met. Next you have the techs Kelli, Tami, and Erica. They make you feel comfortable and explain everything that is going on with your braces or Invisalign's. Those three ladies have made the experience of getting Invisalign easy and ease all nerves I had. There is Melissa who does the pictures of your teeth which she makes it painless and enjoyable to take pictures of your smile. You have Allyson who went over the paperwork and information about how much things will cost, she broke down the payments and gave me options on how to pay for my Invisalign which can be stressful but she made sure I understood everything top to bottom. Then you have Dr Joosse who is this Tall, Friendly, Energetic, and always smile man who doesn't just looks at your teeth and say ok bye. He treats you like you are apart of his family and I am so happy to call him a friend. I highly recommend Dr Joosse to anyone and everyone who wants to fix their smile. Thank you guys so much for making me happy and smile with confidence again.

Dr Joosse & his team are awesome. They are kind and easy to talk to. He listens to your concerns and makes a realistic, individualized plan. Dr Joosse took me on as a patient after already being in braces for 4 years, under a different orthodontist. At the end of my treatment, my favorite part was the photo with Dr Joosse. It made me feel like I graduated out of my braces, LOL! My braces were taken off 7/26/21 and I haven't stopped looking at my teeth! I smile all the time. Thanks JFO!

We had to go in for a wire clip while we were on vacation visiting grandparents in Williamsburg, VA!! Wow, what a super office and thank you all for the love and care you showed us all. The entire Joosse Family made us feel welcomed and now we can get on with our vacation pain free. Eve is a happy patient. Thank you all. Karen Ullman and family P.S. - So welcome for the brownies!! I had joined the Joosse Orthodontics while I had my braces from another place. They worked with the braces I had and were extremely welcoming! It has a very warm atmosphere, like it's saying "Don't be nervous"; really lives up to the "Family" in its name. I really enjoy and recommend Joosse Family Orthodontics!

I love it here employees are always friendly and facilitating. I'm 21 and I look forward to every dental visit lol.... The waiting area is clean and they have the best hot cocoa. The staff is always punctual and I always feel like my needs are prioritized over everything else.
