Dr. Garrik Jones was born and raised in Southern Utah. He attended Enterprise High School, where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class in 1996. He attended Southern Utah University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BA in biology and a minor in chemistry and Spanish in 2003.
Garrik attended the prestigious dental program at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. In 2007, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He received the Geriatric/Special Needs outstanding student award for his treatment in this area. He also received a 4-year Dental Research Award, where he worked with professors and colleagues on the Iowa Root Growth Study.
Garrik served a volunteer mission in Chile for 2 years, where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. Garrik is married and has three beautiful children. Besides spending time with his family, Garrik loves the outdoors, sporting events, and attending theater and cultural events.
Dr. Ashlynn Amelon grew up in Coralville, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2009 with a degree in biology and a certificate in public health. She received her dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Amelon chose to help the underserved by practicing at the Davenport Community Health Center. During this time she also worked as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Iowa senior dental students. Ashlynn has been serving the communities of Williamsburg and Cedar Rapids for the last five years in private practice.
Dr. Amelon is excited to be joining our team and to be providing care to her hometown community. In her free time, Ashlynn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing volleyball, cooking, golfing, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes
Dr. Natalie Syrbu grew up in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota where she attended Hamline University, a small school in St. Paul. She received her dental degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Syrbu also completed a general practice residency at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, where she gained valuable experience in all areas of dentistry, including implant dentistry and sleep dentistry. Natalie then worked for several years in private practice in Eagan, MN. Most recently, she has served as a staff dentist at the Iowa City VA. Dr. Syrbu now looks forward to joining our team and providing care for the Iowa City community, where she lives with her husband and two children.

The hygienist was very competent and friendly, she did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth and recommending ways I can improve my home cleaning routine. My only quibble was that I felt that the dentist's exam was a bit perfunctory. But then, I had no issues so a detailed exam was perhaps not necessary.

I was told one of my filling needs to be replaced after a routine teeth cleaning. Dr. Amelon did my filling. After everything was done, she did a final floss and the filling cracked. She talked to her assistant briefly and went out to check another patient. Nobody explained to me what happened until I asked her assistant. Then the new filling was drilled out and the whole procedure was redone one more time. Unfortunately three weeks after the procedure, my tooth still hurts so bad when eating. If this continues, I will switch to a different dentistry to see if it can be fixed.

Dr. Chamberlain was awesome and the entire clinic was stellar. I called as a new patient with some tooth discomfort. They got me in the next day! I was able to get my issue resolved and Dr. Chamberlain was thorough and informative. All my questions were answered and I left feeling better. I'm recommending this office to anyone looking for a new dentist. You won't be disappointed!!

This was my first time using Jones Family Dentistry and I was a bit nervous since it's been a while since I've been to the dentist. They made me feel extremely comfortable right from the beginning. I had to get a cavity filled and they explained everything they were going to do before we started and throughout the procedure. They were professional but also just genuinely the nicest people. I will definitely be using them for a long time to come!
