Your regular cleanings and exams are where we come in. During this time we will professionally clean your teeth removing any calculus that has built up over time. We will also take X-Rays as needed to look for decay hiding under the surface or between teeth. If any problems are found, Dr. Jones will discuss those with you as well as your treatment options.
Dental specialists are dentists who have gone onto additional training and are also part of the team. Specialists such as Oral Surgeons, Orthodontists, and Endodontists may be utilized to provide their special skills where needed. Regardless of the number of players, we remain the 'center of gravity' for your treatment, orchestrating the best possible outcome for you.
Dr. Jay Jones grew up in Northfield, MN. After high school, he served as a Marine avionics technician and marksmanship competitor while stationed at MCAS El Toro, and Iwakuni, Japan. When the Army offered an opportunity to fly as an enlisted man, he became an enlisted co-pilot, flying scout helicopters in both Cavalry and Attack units. During his 20 year career, he served in various leadership and operational positions around the world. The peak was becoming a First Sergeant and Jump Master in the famous 82d Airborne Division. He has tours in Somalia and Afghanistan, and is a lifetime member of both the 82d Airborne Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jay lives in Dayton with his wife (and high school sweetheart) of more than 35 years. They attend Revive Church in Brooklyn Park and enjoy camping, canoeing, running, and most things outdoors. He studied dentistry at the University of Minnesota and is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Minneapolis District Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Jones also provides free dental care for children through the 'Give Kids a Smile' program. He also volunteerswith the 'Minnesota Mission of Mercy' to provide free dentistry for people of all ages.

Had gone to Dr. Jones for several years before I (sadly) had to move. Top knotch staff, runs on time, and you always feel welcome. At this point I try to match up my travel to come use their services again if I get the chance. You won't find a better Dentistry anywhere.

Ten years ago I had a co-worker refer me to Dr. Jones after I had a problem with several fillings from another dentist in Blaine. I really lucked out... Dr. Jones is the best dentist I've ever had. Does great work and rarely need to see him more often than twice a year!

You couldn't ask for a more caring Dentist and Staff! Had 2 cavities filled, they made sure I was comfortable the entire time and there was NO PAIN! Dr.Jones was EFFICIENT and very professional! What a wonderful group of people here!

Best dentistry office ever. I am terrified of the dentist and the staff here is so kind. They didn't make me feel silly for being a grown woman shaking and sweating to get my cavity's filled. I've been to other dentists and they've attempted to get my gums numb to fill my cavity and they never could which attributed to my fear. Dr. Jones tried a different way to numb and it worked. For the first time in 15 years I DON'T have a cavity. My kids felt at ease here as well. Will never go anywhere else. Happy tears. Thanks to Dr. Jones and his awesome staff.

Dr. Jones always explains things carefully and helps our family understand what he's doing. Every experience has been great as everyone at Jones Family Dentist is friendly and professional. Grateful to have the best dentistry available in our area!

If you need a dentist, you need to stop looking and just come here. Seriously. Don't waste your time for one more second. This is where you are meant to go. Not from the area? Trust me, it's worth the drive...or flight for that matter. First, let me just say that I am afraid of dentists. You think clowns are scary? Then you probably haven't been to the dentist. Dr. Jones isn't really THAT kind of dentist though. I've never been made to feel so comfortable, informed, and (quite honestly) not embarrassed about my oral health. After years of delaying the inevitable, I had to come in and face my fears. It was tough, although the nitrous probably helped, but I did it. I don't think this had as much to do with me as it did the wonderful people who work here. Colleen, Kendra, and Dr Jones are truly amazing people and I am so grateful for what they have done for me. Second, does your dentist change your flat tire? Mine does. Or at least he did. Let's hope it never happens again, but it was surprising to see him coming over to help out. Even after my husband came to help me finish up, Dr. Jones just kept at it. The point is: they aren't just nice to get that money from you and your insurance company. I'm pretty sure they're great people all around. If you aren't a patient here, you're doing it wrong.
