Tasha was born and raised in Anamosa and its where she and her husband, Ross, are raising their two daughters: Lexah and Olivia. She attended Kirkwood Community College in 1997 where she received her Associate degree in dental assisting. She later attended NICC where she received her dental assisting expanded function certificate. Tasha began working for Jones County Family Dentistry as a dental assistant in 1999 (then called Warner Family Dentistry) before applying her knowledge and skills and transitioning to the front office. When not working Tasha enjoys cheering on the Anamosa Raiders and Iowa Hawkeyes. She and her family can often be found golfing at Fawn Creek Country Club. Tasha enjoys being able to form long lasting relationships with patients and helping them have excellent dental experiences.

Beth graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 1998 with an associate degree in dental assisting and received her dental assisting expanded function certificate from NICC in 2005. She enjoys helping patients understand and utilize their dental insurance. Her main goal is to make sure our patients receive a positive dental experience.

Beth has lived in Monticello her entire life. She and her husband, Dean, have 3 kids: Kelsey, Reese and Kyle. Dean and Beth co-own two local businesses: Kardes and The Jitney. She enjoys kayaking on the Maquoketa River, hiking on all the local trails and spending time with her family.

CJ came to Jones County Family Dentistry in 2014, after spending 26 years as a middle school teacher. She is now using her knowledge and skills in an administrative capacity in the dental office. She spends her days helping out with the details of running and office and enjoys the challenge of working with insurance. Her favorite part of working in the practice is getting to know the patients.

CJ spends as much free time as possible with her husband, children, and grandson, and also loves to travel, then come home and try out new recipes. In her downtime, youll usually find her with her nose in a book.

Hailing from the City of Brotherly Love, Megan graduatedin May 2007from Saint Josephs University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor in business administration and a major in marketing. Upon graduation, she began a career in her hometown in business development and sales in the modular building industry and moved with her company to Orlando, FL in January 2009. While in Florida, Megan met her husband, Dillon who is from Wyoming, IA. They moved to Anamosa shortly after they were married in 2013. Megan has been working in the dental industry since 2014 and is currently an insurance specialist.

Wendy is a Monticello native and has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. She graduated from the University of Iowa and has a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. Taking care of her patients, who are now like family, has been a joy in her life.

The other joys in her life are her husband, Matt and her two sons, Ben and Zach. When she isnt at work, you can find her riding around in their Jeep Wrangler, cooking and spending time with friends and family often at local Monticello restaurants.

Heather was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an associate degree in dental hygiene and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2016. Heather enjoys educating her patients in the importance of oral hygiene and loves getting to know her patients on a personal level.

Jami was born and raised in Bloomer, Wisconsin. She attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with an associate degree in dental hygiene. She moved to Missouri and practiced in a large-scale practice until she relocated to Monticello, Iowa in 2020. She is excited to get to know the patients at Jones County Family Dentistry.

Lynsey grew up on a farm north of Mechanicsville, Iowa. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with associate of applied science degrees in dental assisting and dental hygiene. She has been a registered dental hygienist since 2015. She loves helping our patients improve their oral health and enjoys making a personal connection with patients.

Colleen was born and raised in Anamosa. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with her associate degree in dental assisting in 2001 and her expanded function certificate in 2016. Colleen enjoys working alongside the doctors to provide education and great dental care to all our patients.

Colleen and her husband, Kyle, raise their two children, Ashtyn and Ryker, along with their two dogs, Copper and Lacy, in Anamosa, Iowa. In her free time Colleen enjoys watching her daughter dance with KM Dance Company, golfing and doing home improvement projects.

Emily graduated from Kirkwood Community College with her associates degree in dental assisting in 2014 and her dental assisting expanded function certificate in 2020. She loves dentistry because it is a profession which helps people stay healthy and feel good about themselves.

Her free time is spent with her husband, Tyler, their three children, Adriana, Kellan and Elaina and their two dogs. In the summertime she enjoys taking her children to the park, swimming and boating.

Heidi grew up in Manchester and graduated from West Delaware High School. She later went to Capri College graduating from the College of Hair Design as a barber. Heidi then opened her own shop for over ten years before deciding she wanted to pursue a career as a dental assistant. She attended NICC and received her associate degree in dental assisting and later received her dental assisting expanded function certificate.

In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband, Kyle and her kids: Paetyn, Addesyn and Owen. She enjoys attending the girls volleyball games, riding their side by side and being on Lake Delhi.

Dr. Chong Shao was born and raised in Beijing, China and immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1998. He grew up in Iowa City, Iowa supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes and eventually completed his undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Physiology with honors and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with a distinction in Dental Public Health. He went on to complete a general dentistry residency at the University of Oklahoma focusing on the treatment and care of pediatric and medically compromised patients.

Dr. Shaos love for the outdoors led him to Denver, Colorado where he practiced in a private practice setting as well as in a mobile setting in order to treat patients in shelters and retirement homes who would otherwise have extreme difficulty obtaining dental care. His love for his now wife, Dr. Katie Nagel Shao, took him next to Greenville, South Carolina where he practiced in a solo doctor practice. Whether it was too much large portions of fried foods, the deathly hot weather or just a desire to be close to family, Dr. Shao and Dr. Katie decided to make the move back their home state. He is excited to be back home in Iowa and values the opportunity of providing the best of care to the residents of Jones County.

He and Katie have a sassy daughter, Evelyn, and two energetic dogs, Jadie and Keeva. Chong prefers to spend his spare time outdoors and is an avid skier and hiker. He considers himself an average cook with an insatiable appetite.

Dr. Katie Nagel was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Xavier High School and went on to Mount Mercy College, where she graduated with a degree in Biology. Dr. Katie graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2014 and began working in an office outside of Des Moines immediately after graduation. After some time there, she was tempted by the warm weather of South Carolina, where she had previously spent summers running a sleep away camp. During her three and a half years in Greenville, she worked as the only dentist in a private practice. However, home called her heart back to eastern Iowa and she and Dr. Chong decided to move back to be closer to family.

Katie is an avid Iowa sports fan and loves living back in Hawkeye country. In her free time, she enjoys spending as much time outside as possible, whether it be walking her dogs, golfing or taking her daughter to the park. She loves being active in the Anamosa and Monticello communities and you will see her and her family out to eat at our local restaurants frequently. She loves watching reruns of The Office and is constantly singing, even to her patients!

Dr. Michael Warner is a native of Anamosa. He graduated from Anamosa High School in 1977 and went on to attend Coe College in Cedar Rapids, completing his studies in 1981. Dr. Warner Graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1985. He belongs to the American Dental Association (ADA), the Iowa Dental Association and the University District Dental Society. Mike is also a member of the Lawrence Community Center Board, Anamosa Chamber of Commerce and the Jones Regional Medical Center Foundation Board.

Mike enjoys spending his free time with his family-wife C.J., two children, Jen and Paul, and grandson James. He also spends a lot of time helping out with the Anamosa School District, having volunteered as an AHS football coach for 20 years and working various sporting events.
