Dayne Patterson, DDS is originally from Colorado, but he has spent most of his life in Northern Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended dental school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Next, Dr. Patterson completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco to expand his knowledge and gain further experience. Before settling in the Alexandria area, Dr. Patterson briefly practiced dentistry in San Diego.
Dr. Patterson believes in using his training and experience to inform and counsel his patients but leaving final decisions to them. Respecting his patients wishes and opinions is part of his care philosophy. He also understands that there are no one-size-fits-all solutions in dentistry, and every patient needs answers that fit their unique goals, budget, and desires.
He focuses on conservative, minimally-invasive approaches to dental treatments. Furthermore, he believes that open, honest communication is vital to the dentist/patient relationship and necessary for the best treatment outcomes.
Jon W. Williams, Jr., DDS was born into a military family at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After moving around most of his early life, his family settled in Virginia, where he graduated from high school. He went on to attend the University of Virginia and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Subsequently, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Virginia Commonwealth Universitys School of Dentistry in 1987.
Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Williams began practicing dentistry as an associate dentist, and, after several years, bought the practice at its current location in the Wilton Woods area of Alexandria, where he has practiced for over 30 years.
Dr. Williams has a conservative practice philosophy with an emphasis on minimally-invasive dentistry. As a healthcare professional, he does not sell dental services. Instead, he believes that the best treatment decisions are made by informed and educated patients. He likes to treat his patients like they are family.
