A picture explains what words never can, especially when it comes to your teeth. An intraoral camera can take pictures with such detail, it can show cracks and stress marks in a tooth that cant be seen with the naked eye.
Known as CBCT, this advanced imaging technique uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam. The cone beam rotates around your head to create a highly detailed 3D image of your mouth to help us accurately design your treatment plan.
Dr. Jon Byrd is a native of the Triad, having grown up in the High Point Thomasville area and graduating from Ledford Senior High School. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for his undergraduate studies before receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Byrd believes in patient-centered dental care, in which his patients will be able to make informed decisions concerning their oral health.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Byrd enjoys spending time with his family, going to his childrens sporting events, hunting, and playing golf. Dr. Byrd resides in the High Point area with his wife and children.
Dr. Preston Ford grew up in the Jamestown/High Point area where his family moved when he was 4 years old. He grew up involved in many activities including soccer, baseball, and church groups and graduated from High Point Christian Academy in 2010. He completed his undergraduate studies at theUniversity of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he played on the soccer team and received Bachelors Degrees in Chemistry and Business Administration. Dr. Ford continued his studies at theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.
Dr. Ford is currently working on his Associate Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is a graduate of the Washington, D.C./Mid-Atlantic MaxiCourse, the Implant Pathway in Phoenix, AZ, and is currently enrolled in the Puerto Rico MaxiCourse where he travels for 5 days out of each month to advance his surgical techniques and become IV sedation certified.
He is excited to offer our patients dental implants to replace missing teeth, so almost all of your dental treatment can be done in one place. He loves forming relationships with patients and partnering with you to achieve your dental health goals.
Dr. Ford is an active member at Kings Cross Church in Greensboro and loves to spend time serving with his church family. He loves spending time with his daughter, Raelyn, and their red lab, Rosie. His hobbies include hunting, biking, traveling, and reading particularly studying the Bible.
Dr. Evan Moore has been proud to call the Old North State his home for the last 11 years and is excited to serve the High Point community. Dr. Moore earned his B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Spanish from Grove City College. Following his undergraduate, he moved to North Carolina to teach elementary school in Halifax County, NC through Teach for America. However, after two years of teaching, Dr. Moore decided to pursue a career in dentistry and completed two years of prerequisite courses at UNCG where he and his wife Kalie fell in love with the Triad.
Dr. Moore earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. He is an active member in the ADA, North Carolina Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is very passionate about cosmetic and implant dentistry and, with a commitment to quality continuing education, Dr. Moore is at the forefront of dental care and technology and is dedicated to providing all available treatment options to his patients.
When Dr. Moore isnt caring for patients, you can most likely find him spending time with his wife Kalie and four rambunctious children, Ezekiel, Violet, Alistair, and Margot. He loves reading, playing guitar, photography, traveling, and anything that can get him outside, whether it is hunting, backpacking, or a hike with his little ones. He and Kalie also are very active in their local church and are licensed foster parents. Dr. Moore is excited about becoming a part of this vibrant community and providing your whole family dental care for years to come.

LOVE this place!! Came highly recommended from a family member and my only regret is not switching sooner. My hygienist is awesome! She's very gentle with my cleanings and so sweet. I've seen all 3 dentists and all are great! I don't dread going to the dentist anymore!!

Very impressed with Dr.Byrd! I have been to many different dentists and I've never had one that I REALLY felt like I was part of the treatment plan. It's always been "this is what you need and this is the fee". Dr. Byrd was very informative on my teeth structure and health in my mouth as well! They even over a member ship and since I have no health coverage, this is very helpful! Thanks Dr.Bryd!!

I had put off the dentist for a little too long, but my fears were very quickly lessened by Dr. Ford. He explained my dental X-rays and pictures in detail and made sure I understood everything he was showing me. My initial cleaning was with Amanda, who was outstanding. My experience with her has been drastically better than any other hygienist I have had in the past. Like Dr. Ford, she explained in detail everything she was doing during the cleaning. The experience I have had at this office so far has been wonderful and I highly recommend them.

Posting for my mom- she had a filling fall out on a Thurday before we were leaving to go vacation. She stopped by the office on Thursday and they told her to come on Friday morning at 8:00. She went in and they were able to crown her tooth and save our vacation.

I am very disappointed with this dentist. I wasted my time on my day off to get work done. There was complications and he could not do the work which I can understand but I cannot get a appointment with the dentist he wanted to send me to and I cannot do it tomorrow due to my boss being off. They would not give me an antibiotic for the infection and I wasted my day to get this done because I can't take off till next Thursday. The nurse was very rude. I wasted my day, my time, and my money and now I am home looking for a Dr. Thanks!

What can I say about this dentist. Well only one word describes it Awesome!. I had my first initial visit. Didnt get to actually meet dr byrd yet but that be next visit. All his assistants that i met today did a great job especially krystn shes really good. I have found my new dentist. Thank u guys.

I had my first visit at Dr. Byrd's on 6/19/2020. I was very impressed with how thorough they are on your first exam. A ton of x-rays and they even took photos inside my mouth. I had never had that done before. I saw Dr. Ford, and was pleased with how he took the time to explain everything, and gave me options on some dental work I needed done. Even though they do braces in house, he referred me out due to the nature of my problem. Proof that they care about the best interest of their patients and not making money. I had another dentist make a suggestion of crowns, but Dr. Ford explained that was basically a temporary fix, but would not completely alleviate the problem. Fast forward to 1/5/2021 and I went back for my second appointment and saw Dr. Byrd. This experience was just as good as the last. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. And still, not trying to sell you services you don't need. When I went to check out, they had some information about a dental plan for those without insurance. I inquired about it, and the girl explained it to me, but then said if I wanted to do it, they would but she didn't think it was necessary because my teeth were healthy. It would be more cost effective to pay out of pocket because my issues are mainly orthodontic and that plan was strictly for their services. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. Both Dr.'s are younger, and up to date on all the current treatments. And all the staff is super friendly and helpful.
