Dr. Jerrold Johnson came to the Kitsap Penninsula in 2004, joining with Dr. Siegfried Naumann tocreate Naumann Johnson Orthodontics. The following year, Dr. Jeff Lingenbrink moved back to the area (having grown up in Silverdale and having completed his orthodontic residency in St. Louis) and joined with Dr. Trent Rencher in Poulsbo. After Dr. Rencher retired, Dr. Lingenbrink took over the practice and changed its name to Link Orthodontics. In 2015, as Dr. Naumann was in the process of retiring, Dr. Johnson and Dr. Lingenbrink merged the two practices to form Johnsonlink Orthodontics.
With the merger of the two practices, Johnsonlink Orthodontics now hasoffices in Silverdale, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, and Bainbridge Island. The best part of our offices, however, are the people inside them. We have been fortunate to find the most courteous, professional and skilled team of office and clinical staff that you will find. Dr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. He then went on to graduate in the top of his class from the University of Southern California with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, receiving multiple awards in academics and for exceptional clinical skills in dentistry and orthodontics. He completed his orthodontic residency at USC, obtaining a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in craniofacial biology, with an emphasis on jaw development and its relationship to the developing teeth. Dr. Johnson completed his residency with the highest faculty reviews ever given to an orthodontic resident at USC.
Dr. Johnson has been involved in several areas of research, including the study of dental root resorption and the search for genetic links to mandibular prognathism (overgrowth of the lower jaw). He is also a strong believer in the development and implementation of new technologies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic conditions. His research also included the testing of 3D imaging techniques and the development of a novel software programwhich is being used today to help academicians with their research. Dr. Johnson continues to program software and has developed several programs currently being used in our office.
Dr. Johnson is a true artist, receiving the coveted 'Golden Hands' award from USC for exceptional hand skills in wax carvings of teeth and for a mastery of dental anatomy. Even his hobbies are rooted in art, including piano, guitar, photography, woodworking, and graphic design. Dr. Johnson was born in Southern California and met his wife, Julie, a native of Washington State, while in college. They now live in Bremerton with their children, twin daughters Allison and Brittany, Caitlin, and twin sons Dillon and Zachary.
Dr. Johnson is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Washington State Dental Association, and the Kitsap County Dental Society.He wasinducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society andis eligible for diplomacy in the American Board of Orthodontists. Dr. Johnson is bilingual; he isfluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr.Lingenbrink has been involved inareas of research, including the study oforthodontic treatment efficiency and frictional analysis. Hedesires his patients to be treated in the best way possible. His masters thesis involved the efficiency of tooth movement.
Dr.Lingenbrinkenjoys playing thepiano, guitar,coaching youth softball and basketball andflyboardingwith Dr. Johnson. Dr.Lingenbrinkwas born inHawaiiandmoved to Silverdale when he was in the second grade. Kitsap County has been home to him.Having the opportunity to work withinhis community and make a difference in the livesof others has always been his dream.His wife, Britney,is from Bothell, WA and they enjoy living in Poulsbo. They have four daughters, Madison, Camryn, Jordan, and Sydney.
Having completed additional testing after orthodontic residency,Dr.Lingenbrink is a diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontists, thus being a Board-Certified orthodontist. This place is very welcoming. They have snacks and drinks for people, as well as a teeth brushing station. The staff is kind and welcoming, and their first consultation is free. The waiting room is large and opulent. Their equipment is up to date and quick and efficient. It was a very pleasant place. EDIT 4 YEARS LATER: I'm about a year out since I finished treatment here. I had to move away and then we moved back to Washington and the staff remembered me and treated me like family. Dr L took one look in my mouth and noticed a bad habit I had picked up when across the country and helped me remedy it - but the orthodontist I saw across the country never even noticed. I was living in Seattle when we moved back and I literally decided it was more worth it to commute over to Kitsap for treatment because they are THAT GOOD. All of the staff are wonderful and skilled and kind. My braces were removed near the start of the pandemic and they had cordoned off each chair, had air purifiers at each station, and made me feel very safe. I will never stop touting this offices' praises. Dr Lingenbrink - you gave me the gift of my smile and I never knew how much it would mean to me until I saw it for the first time. Thank you!

Bottom Line: This place cares. Dream team staff and doctors that devote their absolute attention to their clients. Well kept exterior building and immediate service as you walk in. Professional atmosphere and the staff is never too busy to answer questions and let clients feel at home. The lobby is well kept the toys for children look clean and unbroken. Several up to date magazines to read and community literature as well. Rooms are kid friendly and a considerable yet subtle effort is made to ensure clients do not have bad experiences. Dr. Lingenbrink and his team are well spoken when prompted with new questions. The team is very conscious of active listening techniques and quality conversation. The entire team seems strongly connected andeffective. In the case of an Invisalign consultation Dr. Lingenbrink performs his assesment and then takes the time to explain each medical term to you if you are interested. The back offices are appropriatley sanitary and the staff is diligently clean. The financial team is very knowledgable and will clarify every portion of your expense. Best choice for Orthodontics no bad experiences can come from here.
