Dr. Denny Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo. His major was in chemistry, and the degree was fulfilled by doing a chemistry research project at UCLA. Dr. Johnsons Doctorate of Dental Surgery was completed at the Ohio State University. He practiced general dentistry for more than 13 years, while gaining valuable experience in all forms of general dentistry.

Returning to the Ohio State University, Dr. Johnson completed his Master of Science degree as well as his Clinical Certification in the Specialty of Orthodontics in 1985. Since then he has served on the faculty at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor in the section of graduate orthodontics, teaching biomechanics and serving as clinic consultant in the graduate clinic.

Residing in Upper Arlington, Dr. Johnson has served on many local social and school projects, and he is a member of the Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Johnson and his wife Kathy have three daughters. Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, also an orthodontist;Dr. Andrea Lynn Johnson, a thirdyear Gastroenterology Fellowat the Ohio State University Medical Center; andAshley Johnson,an External Affairs Specialist with Ohio Health and a formergraduate in Nutrition Science from the Ohio State University.

I am excited to be practicing in the communities I grew up in and the offices in which I spend many years as an orthodontic assistant and lab technician. I love working with children and adults alike. After years of watching patients walk out of my dads offices thrilled with their new smile and an increases sense of self-confidence, it was obvious that orthodontics would be my path too. People deserve to achieve their best selves. My goal is help them on this journey by creating a beautiful smile in a caring and comprehensive way. Dr. Liz

Dr. Elizabeth Johnson is a graduate of Upper Arlington High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University. After a one-year AmeriCorps service internship in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, she completed her DDS degree at the Ohio State University. In 2002, over typodonts and textbooks, Dr. Liz met Steve, her husband to be. After graduation, they moved to Steves hometown of Cincinnati, OH, where they practiced general dentistry for seven years. During this time, they expanded their family with two dogs, Nemo and Rusty, and two identical twin boys, Calvin and Elias. Calvin and Elias are in the sixth grade and, as you can imagine, bring an abundance of fun and spontaneity to their lives.

In pursuit of her ultimate goal, Dr. Liz then completed her Master of Science degree as well as her Clinical Certification in the Specialty of Orthodontics in 2016 from OSU. She sees patients at both office locations of Johnson Orthodontics.

My job is two-fold, working with patients and patient care, as well as doing soldered lab work for patient appliances, and working on office letters and scheduling. Ive been here since 2006 and cant imagine being anywhere else! We all get along great and love to laugh! Its so much fun to work with the kids and watch them and their parents get excited over great results.

I started working in general dentistry as an assistant in 2010 and transitioned to orthodontics in 2014. With Johnson Orthodontics since 2019, I assist the doctors with all procedures including, taking impressions, X-rays, and changing out brackets and wires. Since we get to see our patients so often, I really appreciate that we have the time to really get to know them. Of course, I also love to see their smiles transform!

I love everything about my job, especially knowing that I get to make a positive difference in our patients lives through helping them achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. My favorite part of my job is the interaction with the patients and getting to know them on a personal level. I enjoy working with our team because we are like pieces to a puzzle where we each have unique talents, but put together, we make a complete picture.
