Dr. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Cleveland State University and his doctoratedental degree from The Ohio State University as a cum laude honors graduate beforeearning his specialized post-graduate certification in orthodontics, as well as a masters degree, from Case Western Reserve University.
While studying dentistry at The Ohio State University, Dr. Johnson participated in cutting-edge biochemical orthodontic research and received The Ohio State University College of Dentistry Research Activity Award.
Dr. Johnson enjoys and is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in orthodontic techniques. He regularly attends the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Meetings to remain informed of new technologies and methods that are developing nationally and around the world and also for continuing education courses. He attends local seminars and symposiums on the latest topics in orthodontics, such as Invisalign, orthodontic anchorage implants (TADs), and orthodontic clinical techniques several times a year.
Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family: wife, Carmela; son, Christopher; and daughter, Jennifer. He enjoys doing cardio and exercising. He likes surfing at various destinations around Florida, the Coastal United States and other international locations. His favorite pastime isparticipatingin family activities and traveling together.
Dr. Johnson is committed to the local community and is supportive through sponsorship of youth athletic teams, such as Little League and travel ball teams. He supports local school publications and extracurricular activities.
As the Front Office Manager at Johnson Orthodontics, Bethany works one-on-one with every patient who walks through our doors; explaining each treatment plan and financial plan to our patients and their parents. She is also here to assist with any of their insurance questions or concerns. She enjoys working with the patients and families who come to our practice, and providing a friendly, positive, up-beat office environment while ensuring our patients questions are answered and concerns are addressed.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Doug; taking barre and spin classes; crafting; and baking. She also enjoys hanging out with her dog, Riley; and cats, Sebastian and Santana.
Mirna is a wonderful orthodontic assistant. She works alongside Dr. Johnson during patient care and helps to make each person as comfortable as possible. She is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant and has worked in orthodontics for over 19 years. Her warm and friendly smile is very welcoming and inviting to all of our patients.
Outside of the practice, Mirna loves the outdoors! She is adventurous and enjoys making memories with her husband, David; her kids; her grandkids; and dogs, Fergie and Cindee. She also really likes being involved and attending church.
Pamela has been a Certified Orthodontic Assistant for 30 years. She enjoys socializing with her patients, making them feel comfortable and treating them with kindness and respect. She cares for our patients alongside Dr. Johnson, and always does so with a warm, friendly smile on her face.
When Pamela is not at work, you can find her spending a lot of time with her family and loved ones, as well as staying involved with her church. She enjoys being outdoors and doing fun activities with her husband, Julius; her kids; her grandson; and her dog, Diego. She likes to go shopping at the Fresh Market and spends her spare time reading mystery books.

He is the best person in the world. He just so happens to be the best orthodontist also. He did my braces when I was a child. And 15 years later. Remembered me, and took care of my permanent retainer issue beyond anything I can even put into words. The staff is amazing. Thank you all.

I love Dr. J and his staff! I came to Johnson Orthodontist after another orthodontist botched my smile and now I couldn't be happier with my smile. My husband, mother in law and son has also gotten their braces/Invisalign with Dr. J and his team. My daughter will be getting hers from Dr. J and his team when she is ready in a couple of months. I highly recommend!
