Avoid at all cost as their service has severely deteriorated compared to what it was in the past. Where to begin with this place, and I mean all JFD locations. First and what's the biggest concern, I was prescribed penicillin when it is documented that I am allergic to this. I requested IV sedation for my dental implant and when I called the same day to ask what I need to do to prepare for this, they tell me the doctor wasn't aware of this and isn't prepared for the IV sedation during my procedure and we would need to reschedule. Their hours are not updated anywhere. Google, their website, and their voicemail recording all they open at 8:00 a.m. but when I show up at 8:00 nobody's at the office. Their recording explicitly states they are open every first and third Saturday of the month and again when I show up on the third Saturday they are closed. Don't even bother leaving a message because they won't call you back. I've had multiple appointments for different types of procedures rescheduled at the last minute even though I received a text confirmation the same day they rescheduled. Zero reliability. I had my Invisalign appointment cancelled at the last minute for them to say my only option to see my orthodontist that I've been seeing for 2 years is to drive all the way out to Solvang. I call the Solvang office to get this sorted out ,and they say they'll call me back, but guess what I never received a call back.

I changed my review after the expensive crown lengthening I had on a front tooth, failed after 6 months. The tooth turned black and got infected. I spent a lot of money at Johnson dental. Root canals, crowns ect. The staff and dentist are very nice but the quality of their work is poor. Do yourself a favor and head for Baja. I have all my dental work there and for a fraction of the cost.

Cost me thousands of dollars and have zero relief. They tried to do their own root canals and all of them failed so they had to all be redone by an actual oral surgeon. I've spent the last 5 years paying to fix what I paid Johnson family dental to fix. They took advantage of me and then failed to fix any issues. They instead created new issues which I'm still paying someone else to fix.

My sister needed emergency dentistry at the last minute. We called and Ashley was so sweet and supportive. She had her come right in and set up appointment quickly for following day. The dental experience was very smooth and has since healed beautifully. Thank you Ashley and thank you Johnson Family Dental for everything!!

Had a routine cleaning today! Lori, my Hygienist was great! Both her and Dr Joe were very professional and knowledgeable. Lori was gentle and I felt really good when I left the office! Great experience

Friendly. Thorough. Both technician & doctor listened as though they cared about my thoughts & description of my problem. Left feeling the work done was right. I'd recommend the Solvang office, for sure. However, today 8-29-19, I discovered my xray on first visit a year ago wasn't read thoroughly! A year ago, I'd have needed a filling had they discovered it. Now I need a root canal & crown!! A different dentist is here than a year ago. She said she'd have done a filling if it was her seeing my xray a year ago. Big difference in cost!! Going to discuss this situation with manager & get costs cut drastically!! Must say again, though, staff very friendly & honest & easy to talk with. If I get financial satisfaction & an apology for a gross error, I'll continue to use them as my dentist, but will ask many questions for my total understanding.The work done today seemed to be satisfactory on a different tooth. My total judgement is still reserved.
