John Yancey, DDS, is a native of Lake County, growing up in Lake Villa and Libertyville, Illinois. He graduated from Carmel High School and St. Joseph's College in Indiana, and worked as a biochemist for Abbott Laboratories for several years before enrolling in the University of Illinois Dental School. He graduated in 1984 and completed a residency at Lincoln Medical Center in New York City, where he received additional advanced training in all phases of dentistry.
For the past 25 years, Dr. Yancey has provided exceptional dental care to his patients. He has in-depth experience in implantology and cosmetic dentistry and keeps current in the advances in dental techniques and materials. With the philosophy that dentistry is a partnership, Dr. Yancey educates his patients on the best oral care available, allowing them to achieve optimal dental health. He believes that improving a patient's smile through cosmetic dentistry has a positive impact on self confidence and overall appearance. Through his involvement in Rotary International, of which he has been a member for over 20 years, Dr. Yancey has volunteered his time practicing his dental craft as a member for two international health care projects in Nepal and Guatemala.
Outside the office, Dr. Yancey serves on his local community governing board. He is a member of a rock and roll band and spends most of his free time enjoying the out-of-doors with his wife and three children.
Leesa, our registered dental hygienist, is a wonderful asset to our team. She graduated from Harper College with academic excellence. Leesa has worked in dentistry since 1986, first as a dental assistant then a dental hygienist. She has worked with Dr. Mazeski since 2000 and loves his philosophy toward dentistry. Her most rewarding moments as a dental hygienist are when she is able to educate and encourage patients to achieve optimum oral health as well as an overall physical well being. Leesa is married and has five children, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and just being a mom.

I have been going to Dr Conrad for for over 30 + years. He is kind and takes his time to explain everything. Dr Conrad is an excellent dentist and a wonderful person. He and his staff are AMAZING.

Dr Yancey and his staff are the best! They are great at making you feel relaxed and comfortable during your appt and will walk you through everything if you're nervous. Also they offer emergency appointments if needed and can even get you in that day in some cases so you don't have to wait around in pain

I've been a patient at Johnsburg dental for 23 years and growing up here was amazing. I love my dental techs and both dentists. It's like a family! we moved to Wisconsin and we make the trip back twice a year to be seen by a group of hygienist that really care. My kids are seen here as well and are always excited for their dentist appointments. I highly recommend and encourage all to give Johnsburg dental center a call!

Great place to go for all your dental needs. I recently had my two front teeth replaced with a removable partial. My teeth look better than they did before I got them knocked out.

Always a fun staff. Even when I'm in pain! Normally they asked me what color toothbrush but today they didn't. Because they know I like purple because I'm a Minnesota Vikings fan. Skol!!

I can't say enough about these amazing people. I've always been afraid to go to the dentist and as a single mom always took care of my son first and unfortunately let myself go. My friend Kelly told me that Johnsburg Dental would help me. She would help me and they have. I'm still going and I have a very long road ahead of me but I know it will be worth it. Amazing people! After dealing with wisdom tooth pain the past 3-4 months and being told no one else would see me till November they got me in the same day. Got a bunch of rough estimates from other places (no insurance) at $580 and up. Got me in and even saved money without trying to. Definitely can't wait to go back in the future
