Dr. Barone was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, where he attended high school at La Salle Academy. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Boston College, he went on to graduate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1983. Since then, Dr. Barone has been in the private practice of general dentistry in North Attleborough, Massachusetts. He is married and the father of three sons.
Dr. Barone belongs to various professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been chairman and served on numerous councils and committees for the Massachusetts Dental Society, as well as the Southeastern District Dental Society. Dr. Barone is also an affiliate member of the Rhode Island Dental Association.
Dr. Barone is a past president and has served as a director and committee member for the Downtown Associates of North Attleborough, as well as the North Attleborough/Plainville Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America.

Dr Barone and his staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They show a lot of care and compassion for their clients and always make you feel welcomed. I had a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist before I found them, but not anymore. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any friends or family.

Highly recommend the office of Dr. J. Barone, DMD All the staff proceeds in a professional compassionate manner, yet friendly as though we've known each other for years! Last March 2020, I was faced with a dental emergency. Due to Covid I was limited in choosing the best care. Dr. Barone was one of the first dentists' to accept me under such strict COVID restrictions, with great satisfaction! I've since recommended my son to initiate care with this office and continue to this day with my highest recommendations to any friends or family in search of quality care. So grateful

I had an appointment with the hygienist. She was right on time. Very pleasant but professional as well. She was informative regarding my needs. Dr Barone came in to check on me. Very professional and friendly. Took time to answer all my questions regarding future treatment. Very pleasant experience checking out. Receptionist scheduled next appointment at my convenience and gave me the cost. Love the senior allowance. Overall a very pleasant relaxing experience.

Dr. Barone and his staff are amazing at what they do! My family and I have been patients with him for years and we love the meticulous work he does! Most people hate going to the dentist, but he's actually my favorite doctor to see! Dr. Barone and his staff are so kind, they make you feel like family. He's truly the best dentist around!
