John Edwards, our Dentist, came to Western North Carolina after receiving his Dental Training at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1977. He began his career as the Public Health Dentist for Jackson County, NC in 1978 until he established his Private Practice in 1982. Dr. Edwards is know for being caring and compassionate in and out of the Dental Office.

Dr. Edwards is an active Gideon, active in his Church, Victory Baptist, a member of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, the American Dental Association, NC and WNC Dental Societies. When he is not 'out and about' helping to educate and enrich others in our community, he is educating himself through continuing education at dental seminars.

Dianne, our Receptionist, has been with us since 2007. She was born and raised in Western North Carolina. She is married with four children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, quilt piecing and cooking for her family. Dianne hopes to travel when she retires!

Dawna, our Dental Assistant, has been with us since 2004. She has an Associate degree in Radiology from Southwestern Community College, and is also Dental X-ray Certified. Dawna currently live in Cullowhee, N.C. and is married and with three children. She enjoys running, baking, and shopping with her daughter. Dawna also enjoys spending time with her West Highland Terrier, Shelby!

Loretta, our Dental Assistant, has been with us since 2006 but has been in the Dental Profession for a total of 19 years. She worked as an Oral Surgeon Assistant before joining our 'family' as she calls us! She finds the most rewarding part of her job is getting to know her patients and helping them feel comfortable during their procedures. Loretta is married with two sons, three dogs, a cat and goldfish! When she and her husband aren 't riding the back roads with the Miata Car Club, she enjoys spending time with her sons and daughter-in-law and animal babies.

She is approachable and tries to lighten the stress of being in a Dental Office to all that enter. Alleviating the fear of Dentistry that children or adults may have is a priority for her. She hopes that a patient without fear of the Dental Office will want to continue to strive to maintain a healthy mouth for years to come. Mandy enjoys pampering her two dogs, gardening, traveling, lake life and motorcycling with her beau!
