A horrifying experience from start to finish. Empathy goes a long way when a patient is in pain, none was shown here. I needed an emergency extraction with subsequent implant and the lack of communication and expertise by Dr. McIntyre was astonishing. Never introduced himself or described the steps in the process. I was admonished for feeling pain and the assistant had the gall to ask for payment while I'm sitting in the procedure room preparing for the surgery. The "doctor" was unsure of what tools to use, where to use them, and used the drill 11 separate times to remove the tooth. At this point, I'm uncertain if the entire tooth was removed after reading reviews. Will go elsewhere for the implant. There are better surgeons everywhere.

My son have to extract all 4 of his wisdom teeth. We have insurance issues because he has student insurance and a lot of the doctor in NY doesn't take it. I was very lucky Rosetta was very professional and was able to explain everything insurance related issues very clearly. Dr. Mclntyre is a very experienced doctor. The whole procedure took about 40 minutes. It went very smooth. My son have a little complication about a week later that one of the stitches was poking out. We were away from NY otherwise we could've go back to the doctor's office to clip it out. I really appreciate Rosetta and Dr. Mclntyre with all of their help!

Dr McIntyre has treated me on various occasions for oral surgery. I'm nervous about going to the dentist and even more nervous about oral surgery Dr McIntyre is patient and kind. I did not even feel him giving me the needle to get numb. He definitely knows his stuff. He has a caring staff that have all been with him a long time that alone says alot! Each visit I've had everyone at the office has always me feel comfortable. It is always a better experience then I could asked for . He is the only oral surgeon I would go ! .

Outstanding, service and care! I and my son and I trust NO other oral surgeons more than Dr. McIntyre. My son had years ago an apico by Dr. McIntyre and to this day DDS teams are amazed at the work. I a cancer survivor and basically one who has PTSD for any surgical procedures had to have all wisdom teeth removed. The caring manner, and being with a surgeon and team that know what they are doing matters. My procedure and care after perfect. Recently my son who is now in college had a more complex wisdom tooth extraction need because it is close to the nerve. The DDS offered surgeons, but my son noted he preferred to travel and wait for Dr. McIntyre no other. His team got him in quick and truly a blessing. If you want facts and an oral surgeon and team that knows their stuff as part of the elite knowledge knowing sorts, I say go with Dr. McIntyre. If you want mediocre and don't care if your jaw falls off go to the other unqualified folks that charge a ton for low care and low knowledge. Thank doc your team and you are number 1 with my family and friends!

Eleven years ago I had two implants by Dr. McIntyre. 4 months earlier he extracted a tooth with a crown. The crown removal was the easy part. Removing the tooth however was a nightmare. Now, eleven years later, both implants had to be removed due to Dr. McIntyre's failure to remove the entire tooth. Leaving part of the root to rot. I could go on and on but I am just so glad that I was able to find an outstanding oral surgeon. When he removed the implants he told me " this is what you don't want to see." I am now one third of the way to finding out what the next step will be. Another implant would be nice but because I lost so much bone--thank you Dr McIntyre-- it looks like I will probably be getting a bridge instead. My bank account and I are so sad. A cost that could have been avoided had Dr. McIntire taken the time to remove the whole tooth and not leave some of the root behind. Point of the story, find another oral surgeon.

I strongly recommend NOT to go to Dr McIntyre !!!!!! I went in for a wisdom tooth extraction due to a cavity. However, Dr McIntyre advised me to cut/shave the top of my wisdom tooth and stitch my gums over the root, because it was too close to the nerve. Coincidently, the procedure was not covered by my insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket. After the procedure, Dr McInytre put the wrong date on one of my prescriptions and as a result the pharmacist was unable to fill it. His assistant didn't even call the doctor to notify him of his error she just told me to take an over the counter drug instead. I had made my appointment the Monday before Christmas because his assistant reassured me that recovery typically takes 2-3 days, and I will be fine by Christmas Day. My gums was really swollen by the 3rd day and when I called the assistant back to tell her about the swelling, her response was "usually the swelling peeks on the 3rd day". I spent my Christmas holiday with a swollen face with limited foods options to eat. Just ruined my holiday When the swelling didn't subside after the 6th day I went to urgent care and they gave me antibiotics. My family and friends told me the Doctor should of prescribed antibiotics right after the surgery to prevent gum infection. When I spoke to his assistant, she said they give don't prescribe antibiotic as a pre-caution anymore because of covid. The irony issss I went to another oral surgeon for my post-opt surgery apt. The DR said my wisdom tooth was not that close to the nerve and it should have been removed!!!!! Sloppy mistakes, dishonesty, lack of empathy and the rude front desk made my experience with Dr McIntyre horrible. Only exception were his dental assistants, they were really nice!

i was extremely nervous to get all four wisdom teeth removed (as most people are) but dr. mcintyre and his staff made the process very comfortable and easy. i had no issues whatsoever during the procedure nor post op. i received IV sedation and next thing i knew i was at home. rosetta is the best and answered all my questions about aftercare in the weeks after, and it was easy to walk in for checkups to make sure everything was healing correctly. dr. mcintyre is knowledgeable, experienced, and kind to his patients. i definitely recommend!

poor service, worse communication, always get a bill from this guy despite multiple assurances "it is covered." Avoid, you can find a better dentist.

Dr. McIntyre is a caring and excellent dentist. He is especially good at working with patients to talk them through a difficult procedure. It is clear he takes pride in making patients feel good about what he's doing, and he's always honest and upfront. The office is managed by Rosetta, who is easily one of the kindest and most efficient people you will ever meet. She makes dealing with insurance needs a priority on her part, offers great communication with patients, and is quick to respond about any concerns or appointment scheduling. This is a well-run office, and it's clear patient satisfaction is their utmost concern.

I am extremely upset and I am motivated to write a terrible review about this office. I Make an appointment on ZOCDOC, coordinated with my work to take the time off and ensure i am making the right appointment with my insurance clearly on file, to only be called and told that basically they need to run my insurance before i can even get seen. The receptionist is trying to tell me i need a consultation, when in all reality i spoke to several doctors already, and they informed me of exactly what i need to do. The receptionist decides to deter me and would rather cancel the appointment than to actually do what's ethically right. She proceeds to talk like she cares when in reality its a money game. Only the rich see the dentist and those who aren't get the run around. I will never refer this dentist/ doctor and I will ensure that i am not going to be cheated for copay money or to come out of pocket. Shame on them!!
