Dr. Carson was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Carson joined the Air Force and was recognized as the outstanding company grade officer in the 355th Dental Squadron.

My name is Belinda I am the Financial/Treatment Coordinator for Dr. Carson. I have been in dentistry for 19 years, with Dr. Carson since 2010. I find my position to be very rewarding, I enjoy building relationships with our patients and helping them realize they can get the dentistry they need or want. I am a native Tucsonan, I married my high school sweetheart 35 years ago and we have two great boys, Jason and Tyler. I enjoy boating, camping, cooking and spending time with my family.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2000, Cum Laude, from Northern Arizona University. I share my life with 3 of the most incredible people, my husband Kurt and my 2 sons, Mason and Zackary.
My name is Diondra, I have been a dental hygienist since 2015. I graduated with my Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Mexico and completed my Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from Grand Canyon University. I grew up in New Mexico and moved to the Tucson area in 2019, where I fell in love with the mountains and the people immediately.
Im Mila. I joined Dr. Carsons Practice in August 2019. I have been a Certified Dental Assistant since 1995. I started in dentistry in Honolulu following Massachusetts, New Mexico and Arizona with six months volunteering in South Korea working with our military in 2009. My family and I moved to Mesa, AZ in 1998 and was part of a dental team there all these years prior to moving to Tucson. I am grateful to Dr. Carson for the opportunity of being part of the team.

This isn't my first 5 star review for John Carson and won't be the last. Dr. Carson has been gently suggesting to me that I should have a partial crown for at least a year. He wasn't wrong, I was just dragging my feet getting it done. In my mind I had built up this thing being a major event. Last week I finally admitted to myself that I was putting up with a lower quality of life by not addressing the issue with my tooth. I consistently chewed food on the right side of my mouth to avoid pain or potential pain. That's no way to live. Well, this morning Dr. Carson and the team took great care of me. They even let me watch the machine carve the crown. These guys are the highest quality when it comes to dental work and they are full of integrity. Thanks so much team! See you soon for my next cleaning.

This is the most amazing group of caring, compassionate, friendly, and knowledgeable dental professionals I've ever come across. From the second you walk into the lobby, they make you feel welcome. You just know they're going to take wonderful care of you. No surprises in this office, except the top tier level of care you receive. Dr Carson is kind and patient, taking time with each of his clients to meet you and put you at ease. I highly recommend this office to anyone who's nervous going to the dentist. They make you feel like you're the most important person in the world, and they treat you like family.

Dr. Carson and the team are so kind and professional! I found the office through Google reviews and let me tell you, the reviews hold up. I was greeted by the receptionist upon arrival and did not have to wait at all for my appointment. My first visit consisted of a meet and greet with Dr. Carson and a full examination. I was invited to come back for a cleaning within the next few weeks. The scheduling was easy and convenient. My cleaning was pain-free and my hygienist took the time to walk me through each step of the process and checked in with my comfort throughout the cleaning. I fully recommend Dr. Carson's office to anyone looking for great dental care.

This was definitely the most involved dental visit I've ever had. A lot of Q&A, x-rays, pictures, and active planning. If your trying to keep your teeth for life this is probably where you want to go.

This office has very high reviews, which is why we choose them. I wish I had taken the time to read the few poor reviews, I would have saved myself a lot of stress. I have PTSD and severe anxiety. One thing that is very difficult for me is making phone calls. Because of this I make sure I put my spouse on all contact forms to make sure they can talk to him. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I see doctors quite often. Having my husband make calls for me has never been an issue. When I first went to their practice I was treated well and they took excellent care of me. When I went to the follow-up sales pitch where they presented me with a plan for future dental work I noticed a change in the way the dentist interacted with me. Having been in sales for many years, I recognized it as the attitude an unscrupulous salesperson might affect if they suspect the person they are working with isn't a serious buyer or doesn't have enough money to buy what they're selling. I went ahead and made appointments for the work. When the first appointment approached my husband and I had a miscommunication and he spent the few hundred dollars I had planned to use for my first filling/reconstruction. When my husband called to speak to them about it (mostly so we could see what options we had in terms of financing or if it would be better to reschedule - I was thinking a few months when I get my tax refund) they refused to speak to him. Up until this point they had no problem speaking to my husband and were very accommodating. I had to get on the phone with them and they argued with me that I had never filled out the contact form so they could speak with him. I find this highly improbable, because I do this out of habit with all my doctors. A month later one of my molars that needed a cap started getting very painful. My husband called and spoke to them about it. I decided to get it pulled instead of enduring the necessary root canal and capping process, both for financial reasons (It's a week before Christmas and I have two children) and because I don't feel like I'm in a mental space where I could sit through that process without severe trauma (December is a bad month for me due to my CPTSD, and I would flat out have a panic attack if I had to sit through a root canal and cap fitting at the present time). They spoke to my husband multiple times and referred me to an oral surgeon who couldn't get me in until after Christmas. I found another one that could see me the week before Christmas so I took the appointment. I kept receiving calls from the oral surgeon. Dr. Carson's office told them they had no idea which tooth it was and as far as they knew I didn't have any tooth that would need a root canal or extraction. My husband would call Dr. Carson, and they would say they spoke to the oral surgeon and it's taken care of. He'd call the oral surgeon back, and they would be confused because Dr. Carson's office had told them something completely different. Today is the 21st and out of desperation I finally called Dr. Carson's office myself. Belinda admitted that she was deliberately playing dumb with the oral surgeon because my husband was not on the contact form, so she pretended like she hadn't heard anything he said. Woah. What an odd way for an adult woman to act. I have had to deal with office workers on power trips before but this was excessive! I asked her for copies of my records and x-rays and she copped a snotty attitude with me and asked if she should go ahead and cancel my dental cleaning in March. I said sure. I'm not sure but I think this Belinda person is Dr. Carson's wife. She was all honey and roses when they were presenting me with a plan for thousands of dollars worth of work, but once it was clear that I'm low income, she turned into Mr. Hyde. Looking back at other low reviews, it looks like they have a pattern of being rude to low income patients and patients with mental health issues. I'd highly recommend this practice if you're rich and well-adjusted. But if you're poor and broken like me - our kind isn't welcome here.

I highly recommend John Carson DDS! This was a very nice and clean facility and the staff was very friendly and welcoming when I walked in. My hygienist Diondra was exceptional! I will definitely come back.

Dr. CARSON'S office is the BEST!! Wonderful caring staff who are gentle and kind. Superb customer service. Dentist is very knowledgeable & strives to make his patients comfortable and is honest. I drive over an hour to go to this office. Staff is so welcoming, on time..no waiting. They have been very safe with the pandemic & i appreciate this. Shout out for staff members as every person i have worked with has been very professional with thank yous to Alexia, Sam, Theresa & Belinda. You are the Best!!

I've been going to Dr. Carson for years. I love that the employees know me by name, Belinda and Shelly specifically. They are always spot on with my appt time, if your appt is at 3P you best be there at 3P, and they don't take you into the exam room and let you sit and wait, they start work immediately. I went in at 2P today, had a cleaning, check up and x-rays and was out of there in 50 minutes, even with stopping to chat! Dr. Carson is very cognizant of the patients time and his office is a well oiled machine.

I have had many dentists throughout the years but none compare with Dr. Carson and his staff. When I began with Dr. Carson about fifteen years ago, my teeth were in terrible shape. After receiving the new crowns (they are made right there in his offices) and referrals for the necessary root canals and implants, my mouth is in perfect condition with no further issues. Dr. Carson takes the time to explain everything when a procedure is needed and then leaves it up to the patient to decide. He has numerous Top Dentist awards and keeps up with the latest dental techniques. There is no other dentist I would recommend in his place. He is truly amazing.

I have been going to Dr. Carson for a long time. His whole office runs like a well oiled machine. Dr. Carson is knowledgeable and up to date on technology, current practice, and medicine, which, I believe, translates to better dental care. The hygienists in his office are thorough, kind and very knowledgeable. The staff make everything seamless with a smile. I'm so glad that I found this team to take care of my teeth and mouth.
