John Bush grew up in the Pocono Mountains in eastern Pennsylvania. He was very involved in sports; lettering in football, basketball and baseball. Dr. Bush left eastern PA to come to the 'City of Champions' in 1980 and later graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. It was here that he met his future wife Lisa, who grew up in Penn Hills. Following Pitt, Dr. Bush received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University. John and Lisa moved back to Pittsburgh in 1989. They have four children; Emily, JJ, Christopher and Patrick along with their new daughter-in-law, Abigal. Dr. Bush is actively affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Academy of Sports Dentistry, and the Pittsburgh East Suburban Seattle Study Club.

Dr. Bush has been honored by Pittsburgh Magazine as a 'Top Dentist' every year since its inception in 2007. Dr. Bush had served as athletic director of St. Bede School and had also coached basketball there for fifteen years. He loves spending time in the community, traveling, having dinner with family and friends, and being involved with the annual Mission of Mercy dental clinic. He enjoys keeping fit and has completed the Pittsburgh Marathon three times. He enjoys playing golf in the summer and paddle tennis in the winter. Dr. Bush and his family live in Edgewood with their Viszla, Woody.

Becky began her career in Dental Hygiene upon graduation from the University of Pittsburgh 1985. She has spent 31 of those years working with Dr. Bush. 28 of those years have been in the Forest Hills office. She has enjoyed caring for the same patients for many years. Becky looks forward to welcoming new families to our practice. Becky and her husband Scott have two sons, Taylor and Austin, and two dogs, Milo and Nina.

Michele was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and grew up with her three brothers in Grimsby, Ontario. She attended Niagara College and graduated from the Dental Assisting Program. Michele then practiced for two years when she decided to go back to school at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada for her Dental Hygiene degree. She is American Board Certified. Michele practiced as a dental hygienist and was employed at George Brown College as a Clinical Instructor and Evaluator in the Dental Assisting Program. After all this, Michele moved to Pittsburgh in 1989 and became licensed in Dental Hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh. Michele has been at our office for 30 years. When Michele is not working she loves dance and figure skating. Being from Canada, you can imagine how much Michele loves hockey! She is the hockey connoisseur of the office and we all love when hockey season comes around!

Megan lives in Monroeville with her husband, Kris, and two children, Alexa and Wyatt. Megan graduated from Westmoreland County Community College in 1994 with her dental assisting certification and has continued to grow in the dental field for 26 years. She has been a part of our team for 14 years and helps with both dental assisting and administrative duties. She enjoys meeting new people and educating patients about their dental health. She is glad to have a wonderful and knowledgeable staff around her with the latest dental technology. When not at work, she loves having fun with her family and taking part in her childrens various activities.

Carly grew up in Jeanette and graduated from Jeanette High School. After high school, she earned her certificate for Dental Assisting from Westmoreland County Community College. While working, Carly went back to Westmoreland County Community College and graduated with a Dental Hygiene degree. Carly has been with us for 10 years. Carly and her husband Chris are the proud parents of Victor (3) and new baby girl Brooke. They also have a chocolate lab, Bera. When she is not working, Carly loves running she was on the track team in high school! In the summer, she enjoys fishing in the warm weather.

Chris graduated from the dental hygiene program at West Liberty State College. She joined us in 2002 and has worked intermittently while she cared for her parents and raised two children. Chris and her husband Neil are the proud parents of Allison (14) and Bruno (11). She loves to read and designs her own line of greeting cards. They are awesome BTW! Chris is a past president of the Pittsburgh dental hygiene association and has been very active in fighting for water fluoridation in some of our underserved communities.

Dr. Ben Ivan is originally from Toledo, Ohio and earned his undergraduate degree from Grove City College. While at Grove City, Ben met his wife Grace Meakem who grew up in Pittsburgh. Ben received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh. In his free time Ben enjoys golfing, fly fishing and skiing. Ben and Grace live in Shadyside and love trying new local restaurants. Dining recommendations are always welcome!!
