John W. Pittman II, DDSDr. Pittman is a general dentist and has been managing his patients health for over forty years. He received his dental degree from the Emory University School of Dentistry in Atlanta, GA, in 1977. This was after receiving an undergraduate degree in biology and a masters degree in marine science. Today, he continues to take education courses each year.
Dr. Pittman is a current member of the ADA and an examiner on the Florida Board of Dentistry. He is married with two wonderful children. In his free time, he enjoys raising orchids and going on expeditions to Central and South America to discover orchids and hunt gemstones.

The office staff is friendly and professional. The nurse is very knowledgeable. The hygienist is highly efficient. Dr Pittman exudes a happy confidence that is very reassuring when it comes to the longevity of my original teeth!

Being new to the area, I wanted to assemble my health care team to help me transcend into my twilight years. My daughter recommended her dentist as a viable choice for my dental needs. I recently had my first appointment, and the entire experience was top shelf. From the moment I entered the unassuming albeit charming office, I knew I had chosen well. New patient paperwork was not unduly arduous and made more palatable by a cheerful and welcoming receptionist. An extremely capable and professional assistant worked seamlessly with Dr. Pittman to assess the contents of my mouth including a roll call of what teeth have survived and the health of my gums, palate and tongue. Next a photo session to see what doesn't meet the eye was conducted to ascertain what problems might be lurking. Finally, I was treated to an entirely pleasant experience by the hygienist so I could re-enter the outside world with a sparkle in my smile. Most of us only have a few dentists that we frequent throughout the course of our lives. I am quite content to be a patient of Dr. Pittman and his excellent and caring staff as I proceed into the future.

Friendly staff, easy to get in for an appointment, and they don't recommend work that's not needed. The work they do is top quality. Have been going here for 15 years

Friendly, professional, comforting and my teeth feel so clean and terrific, Thank you Dr. Pittman and staff!!! Very thorough. Took a look at a spot on my throat and will recheck it with the Velscope. The throat drs. even missed it. Thankful for him and his excellent staff

I love going to my dentist! How many people can say that? Dr Pittman, his nurse, dental hygienist and office manager are all top notch. I moved about an hour away, but still travel to DeLand for my appointments. I hope he NEVER retires!!
