Dr. Santin was raised in the Akron area and achieved his bachelor's degree from the University of Akron, graduating in 1978. Dr. Santin received his degree in Dentistry in 1981 from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Santin served six (6) years as a general dental officer in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Santin completed specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial (and affiliated hospitals) graduating in 1991. Dr. Santin has been in practice in the Akron area since 1992 and is board certified. Dr. Santin has operating privileges at all of the Akron hospitals and has two offices conveniently located in the City of Green and West Akron.

So I had all four of my wisdom teeth surgically removed this morning and let me first say, I only remember just laughing after the nitrous oxide and after that, I guess I woke up asking when we're doing the surgery.. I was already done Dr. John Santin, DDS is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist in Akron. I am very shocked how fast it went. He also just personally gave me a check up call to see how I was feeling. I really appreciate him and his staff today as this was my first surgery, first time being under anesthesia and they were all helpful with my anxiety. I highly recommend this surgeon!

I would have given this physician and office no stars but it wouldn't let me post without putting at least one on it. I took my daughter to see him a couple of years ago and was made to wait well over an hour. They gave me an estimate up front which had to be paid in full before the surgery. Also, they never contacted my insurance prior to get a predetermination and when i asked why they rudely said "It's the patient's responsibility to get that!" It's impossible for the patient to get this when they don't know what will be done. They are absolutely horrible people to work with. I thought we were in a hair and nail salon instead of a surgeon's office. There was so much make up and gum chomping I could barely hear myself. This office was so unprofessional and when I asked to speak to the manager i was told she was conveniently off that day. I never got a call back from her either. These people do an injustice to all the professional health care offices out there. I can guarantee that the only good reviews on here are most likely employees or relatives of employees posting positive reviews. PLEASE, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS YOU CAN!!.

Had Deep FX Laser Surgery for sun damage.Unbelivable results! So happy.Stuff was super nice and took all of my calls before and after procedure.Dr.Santin called me the night after surgery to check in as well.Very happy.Highly recommend!

I've had a lot of dental work/surgery in my life and Dr Santin and his staff were by far the most professional and caring staff I've ever encountered! My mom, dad and brother have all gone there and had amazing experiences as well. Highly recommend!!!

Do not go here. He ruined my life. I can't eat, or talk. Now I have to eat liquids, it's been over a month.

Good doctor, good medical care. The payment condition are poor, it is pay in advance and gets an addition bill after a year ot two after the treatman is complete.

It is definitely a nightmare. The doctor is fine, but his office staff are rude and ridiculous. When you have questions or concerns, they always say no. Delta Dental has confirmed my eligibility; but they still asked me to pay full bill first, otherwise they will send my information to collection companies. I cannot remember how many times I argued with them and it took more than a year to get my money refunded. There are tons of good dentists in Akron and simply avoid this money-sucker.
