Dr. Ward grew up in Baton Rouge. He was recruited by LA Tech (Coach Wallace Martin) to play for the Bulldog football team in the late 1970s. When he arrived in the fall of 1976, Ruston and Lincoln Parish became a haven for spiritual growth. Praying that he would be able to return after 4 years at LSU Dental school in New Orleans, he opened his practice in June of 1984. Married to Kim Fast Ward in December of 1985, they have 3 children: Anna Christian Ward-1991, Maggie Ellen Ward-1993 and Evan Lloyd Ward-1998.

As a Ruston Dentist, our practice is devoted to helping people achieve their goals of regaining lost smiles. For over 30 years our focus has been on assisting those who want to improve their smiles. Our conscientious staff is committed to finding complete and comprehensive answers and solutions to the issues that stand in the way of attaining your rewarding smile. And for over 35 years, Dr. Ward has given instructional talks on Dentistry and Oral Hygiene to local elementary schools.

Complete Dentistry is not a new concept. Pioneers in the field of restorative dentistry long ago recognized the importance of including the whole chewing system in their evaluations. This valuable insight directed dentists to look at the jaw joint and muscle functions first before treating the teeth and gums.

This will likely include making models of the teeth (stone study casts to be studied on a jaw machine), taking necessary x-rays, photographs of the teeth, muscle exam, jaw joint function exam, mouth cancer screening exam, complete examination of the gums and teeth, and an evaluation of risk factors that are unique to your current circumstances.

This information is collected and carefully sorted and evaluated for possible solutions. When your individual goals are matched to the most appropriate solution, it is then that the journey begins to achieve your Rewarding Smile!

Best dentist ever!! Also, their customer service is great, they made me feel welcomed, like I've been coming here for years (that was actually my first time visiting). Dr. Ward and his assistant were so friendly and professional! I chipped my tooth and went to him to get it fixed. He took his time (which I was praying he would do) and he made sure I was comfortable and was not in any pain during the procedure. It went great, absolutely no pain. At the end of it all, my tooth looks PERFECT. It looks better than it did before it was chipped :-D I can smile happily again! I'm forever grateful! He's officially my new dentist!
