Dr. John Potter graduated from Temple University Dental School in 1993 as a member of the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. He completed a one year general practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York before pursuing an intensive three-year program in Periodontology and Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry, He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Temple and earned his certificate in Periodontology in 1997.
Tracy has over 20 years of experience in the dental field, with a wide variety of training and skills. Initially trained as a Dental Assistant, she went back to work after her children started school, and joined Dr. John Potter s practice in 1998. She currently is a Patient Coordinator; it is a valuable combination to be able to understand what occurs in the operatory as well as with the business side of the practice. One of her greatest joys in working in this office is to be part of a team which functions as a family. Tracy is also happy that she has developed such great rapport with patients over her years in the practice.
Tracy is also married, with two grown boys, and a daughter-in -law, two cats. and looks forward to her family growing. She also enjoys teaching spin classes in her free time, and loves the beach, In addition she works as destination wedding specialist, planning destination weddings, honeymoons and loves to travel!
Sharon has worked in the dental field for over 9 years, and has been working with Dr. John Potter as a Dental Assistant and Patient Coordinator since 2012. As she says, I am proud to be part of such a committed and caring team.
Carolhas been in practice for 30 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She keeps current with everything in her field, serving as an Adjunct Professor Northampton Community College Dental Clinic.She is also a member of several professional associations, including the ADHA (American Dental Hygienists Association), PDHA, LVDHA, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Studies.
Kim, born and raised in Brooklyn, is a Dental Hygiene Graduate of New York Technical College. She worked for a dental practice in New York City prior to moving to Allentown and beginning work with Dr. Potter in 2001. She immediately felt comfortable with the practice because of its professionalism, warmth, and the pleasant working environment. She has enjoyed getting to know her patients better from year to year, watching their children grow up before her eyes, all while helping them improve their dental health. Kim also works with Dr. Mary Viechnicki, a cosmetic dentist in Allentown.
Outside of the office, Kim recently celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary with her husband Tom, and is the busy mother to teenage twin girls. She loves hiking, biking and reading especially when at the beach!
Lisa was originally trained as a Dental Assistant in the Army Reserves, and joined Dr. John Potters practice in 2000. She assists in implantplacement and laser surgeries. She has also completed extensive continuing education courses for cosmetic dentistry. Lisa continues to pursue her passion for excellence with state of the art techniques through various courses. She particularly enjoys using her learning in everyday practice for her patients, and is very excited about educating patients. Lisa also works for Dr. Mary Viechnicki, a cosmetic dentist in Allentown. Lisa is also an avid animal lover. She has 2 rescue dogs, Mindy a Cavalier King Charles, and Ralph- a Silky Yorkshire Terrier.
Wendy graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Northampton County Community College, and completed her Local Anesthesia Training in 2016. She has been working with Dr. Potter for over ten years, and finds it particularly find it rewarding to help patients learn new ways to achieve their oral hygiene goals. In addition, Wendy has been a continuous member of the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA). She has held various board member positions for the local chapter, including serving as President. Wendy loves her job for many reasons, one of which is getting to know her patients and becoming friendly with their families; she truly cares about these relationships. She also works with Dr. Mary Viechnicki, a cosmetic dentist in Allentown.
She is happily married, with 16-year-old twin boys who keep her busy with sports and Boy Scouting activities. She also has 2 dogs, Murphy and Oreo and 1 cat, Midnight. All of the above are the loves of her life!! When she has the chance, she enjoys walking, gardening, photography and spending time with her family and friends.
