Dr. Jimenez received his Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry. During the time Dr. Jimenez was practicing general Dentistry in New York, he also taught Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dr. Jimenez decided to pursue his postgraduate training in Endodontics and graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in their advanced education program.
Dr Jimenez is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, and California Dental Association. Dr. Jimenez is also a member in both Monterey county and Santa Cruz county Dental Societies and always volunteers whenever possible.
Dr. Jimenez is very active as he loves crossfit, yoga, hiking, working on his garden, mountaineering and spending time with his family. Dr. Jimenez also was an avid runner and participated in twelve New York City Marathons.
Over the years, Dr. Jimenez has earned a tremendous amount of respect from both our referring doctors and his peers. Dr. Jimenez truly believes in personalized dental care and is known by his patients for his warmth, approachability, quality, care and known by many as the singing Dentist.

Dr. Jimenez is an incredibly skilled endodontist. He managed to save a tooth that had been a bother on my dental health for years. I was blown away by his technique, extremely friendly staff and his ability to calm my nerves around going to the dentist. I never want to get another root canal ever again but if I do, I am going to Dr. Jimenez again.

If there were more than 5 stars, I would give him and his office! Dr Jimenez is a wonderful person and a true miracle worker. I have seen him for numerous jobs and he saved my teeth every time. His office has great energy and customer service. We are very lucky to have him locally. He has a great personality and awesome selection of music:)and he will explain patiently what the job involves and he will take his time to create the best. Thank you Dr Jimenez & staff.

It was only after going to Dr Jimenez that I discovered that root canals don't have to hurt, when you are in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. After another dentist made a mess of a root canal during three hours of torture and left in pain, Dr J undid the damage, and worked on another tooth--no pain at all. I would tell everyone: if you need a root canal, go to an endodontist, and if you live in Santa Cruz county, go to Dr. Jimenez.

What a day. Knocked a front tooth out at 12:30 and by 5:30 the tooth was saved and I had a temporary tooth in place. So thankful for how quickly the team reacted, how stress free the office was, how they put my anxiety at ease and how good they all are at what they do. Thank you to all!

Endodontist, Dr. John Jimenez, gets a 5-Star review for 1) managing my extreme dentist phobia and 2) for his meticulous work. Root canal treatment is one of my most feared dental procedure for me. I have had two dramatic root canal experiences. After the last root canal experience, I became so phobic I stopped seeing any dentists for 16 years. Today, I am all types of dentist's worst patient. My teeth need lots of urgent attention but my mindset is to panic and shut down. Dr. Jimenez communicates well with someone who is scared to the point of being confused and irrational. He exudes confidence and that gave me ability to pull the trigger and let him inside my mouth. Yesterday, I did the root canal treatment! I was impressed on how fast the procedure took! It was so quick and efficient he turned two appointments into just one and walked out WITH A BETTER SMILE! Other results may vary, but the procedure after the anesthetic injection were given was essentially painless for me. This dental dam did not hurt and bite block is a great idea, virtually eliminating jaw soreness. I did not need more than one dose of pain medication after. I was most impressed and John gets RAVE REVIEWS for me to the point I have scheduled my oral surgery.

I had expected that this was going to be a case where the tooth would need to be pulled but Dr. Jimenez convinced me that he would like a shot at saving the tooth. So, with the exuberant gusto that only Dr. Jimenez has, he has he went to work. After several appointments and x-rays we watched the infection subsided and the tooth began to recover...amazing work. Dr. Jimenez is very skilled, kind, friendly, funny, and fun. His assistant are very good at what they do and they all seem to really enjoy their jobs. The atmosphere of the office is relaxing with a full on garden of eden out the back. If you unfortunate enough to need a Endodontist I highly recommend Dr. Jimenez.
