I have had more dental work in the last 10 years than most people have in their lifetimes. I have had braces. My baby teeth grew in with thin enamel and were all either filled, pulled, or the occasional root canal. I got all four wisdom teeth taken out at once. The most I have ever gotten was Novocain, the drill, and a prayer. I have never once in my life had a positive dental experience, and just sitting in that chair puts my body into a fight-or-flight response. That is until my appointment yesterday. It was my first time having a cavity filled in years and I was recommended Dr. Gaeta by one of my peers. He used this laser, and the drill so slow i thought he was just scratching my tooth. I didn't even need Novocain. By the time he finished (15 minutes), I had barely realized anything happened. No pressure, no pain, none of that iconic gross burning tooth smell; the only feeling I felt was the drill (not that high pitched screeching one), which felt more like he was filing my tooth. I was zoned out the whole time that's how relaxed it was. Not to mention he's also just a genuinely nice person. I wish I could give a bonus star. Could not recommend enough!

Among other work, he did a difficult implant crown replacement. He was patient and not willing to accept lab work that was good enough but not perfect. Very satisfied.

Dr. Gaeta has been our family dentist for more than 15 yrs. and is the best!! We are so grateful that he has been able to care for us with his expertise. My boys were never stressed about 'going to the dentist' growing up. Dr. Gaeta cares about how the patient feels 100% of the time & does excellent work! I highly recommend him!

Dr. Gaeta has been our family dentist for more than 15 yrs. and is the best!! We are so grateful that he has been able to care for us with his expertise. My boys were never stressed about 'going to the dentist' growing up. Dr. Gaeta cares about how the patient feels 100% of the time & does excellent work! I highly recommend him!

Dr. Gaeta is a great dentist who stands behind his work. He offers a variety of services at fair prices. Karen at the front is always friendly and works with you making sure everything is up to date. I highly recommend if you are in the area or a close drive.

Been seeing him at his Glen Cove office and he's truly the best I've been to. High quality service and care. I would recommend to any of my loved ones which I have! Karen and his whole staff are the most professional

John and his staff are wonderful! I never have to wait, he has all state of the art equipment and is very affordable. He always advises me of what I need to do to keep my teeth healthy and what I may need to do in the future. Wouldn't think of ever using anyone else! -Jeff Renaldo

I have never gotten such wonderful, compassionate and professional care as I did at the office of Dr. John Gaeta in Glen Cove. I recently suffered from the most excruciating tooth pain imaginable and as I had recently moved from Westchester to LI, I searched for a local dentist who was available to help me on a Saturday. I was told by Dr. Gaeta's receptionist, Karen, to come right over. Dr. Gaeta saw me quickly, took an x-ray and told me to begin antibiotics and call him if things didn't improve. They didn't and by Sunday morning, I couldn't live with the pain any longer. Dr. Gaeta actually opened his office to extract my tooth and brought his wife along to assist. I was so thankful for the concern and care that I felt compelled to write this review. Bravo, Dr. Gaeta and staff. You're the best!

Dr Gaeta is one of the best there is! He has the knowledge, the skill and is s super nice guy! He takes the time to go over everything and explains it in a way you can understand. It's obvious to me that he is passionate about what he does, and really cares about his patients! His staff is great! Also want to thank Dr Cary Blumenthal for referring me and all the amazing work he did as well! Excellent experience! Excellent result!

First off, I'd like to let everyone know that in the past, I was so scared of going to the dentist. I'm 26 and there are times where I've cried. As embarrassing as it is, it's true. That's how fearful I am of going to the dentist. I just walked out of Dr. Gaeta's office not even ten minutes ago... SMILING. It was by far the most comfortable dentist visit I have ever gone to. I had to get a filling, and not a dinky one either. It was a pretty big one. He used this laser technology which he explained to me in detail, but I can't remember the specifics. You'll have to have him explain it to you when you go in for your visit. ( because you should ABSOLUTELY go to Dr Gaeta). Anyway, because he used the laser, the filling didn't require any numbing (that means no big bad needle) and it was virtually painless. And from my previous comments I'm sure you can tell I have a very low pain tolerance. So here I am on my Saturday afternoon, just got a filling, no numbness and absolutely no pain, and I am in the best mood ever! Dr. Gaeta will be my go to dentist from now on. I've already recommended my entire family and two of my friends to go see him! I really hope you decide to give him a try. You won't be disappointed!

After many long years of avoiding the dentist at all costs, an achy tooth coaxed me back into the chair. Though Dr. Gaeta came on a recommendation, my years of less then pleasant dental experiences left me weary. From the very beginning his kind, gentle and informative approach was wonderful and so appreciated. There was no guilt or judgments, he was thorough, explained everything that was to be expected as it happened. The icing on the cake for me was an emergency root canal that he willingly performed for me on a SUNDAY MORNING. You just don't find that level of service nowadays. All in all I am happy to have found such a caring and experienced doctor, and I'm now more than willing to visit the dentist!

I contacted Dr. Gaeta's office for an emergency visit when a filling cracked and i've been a patient of his ever since. I've never been to a dentist as wonderful as Dr. Gaeta. And all of his staff is amazing. It's hard to find good quality of care and Dr. Gaeta definitely goes above and beyond - all the time! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Gaeta
