Dr. Dzakovich has been providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care for families in the Arlington Heights area for more than 30 years. His gentle nature and meticulous dental work allow for excellence in comfort and care.
Dzakovich and his team specialize in helping patients achieve and maintain optimum dental health with optimum comfort. Though dental emergencies are rare, Dr. Dzakovich understands they can happen at any time and carries an emergency pager at all hours, allowing him to provide emergency dental care to those in need. His patients truly value his attentive nature.
Dr. Dzakovichs experience and education allow him to provide the highest quality of patient care. He received his doctorate from Loyola University School of Dentistry. Each year he continues to study the latest advances in cosmetic and family dentistry with the nations foremost clinicians. He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, The American Dental Society, The Illinois Dental Society, and is a Peer Review Chairman of the Northwest Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society.
He has a passion for dentistry and dental technology. As a result, his office is at the forefront of providing advanced services, including Invisalign invisible orthodontics, conscious sedation, and digital x-ray technology and more.
Dr. Dzakovich grew up in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago near DePaul University. He currently lives in Northbrook with his wife of 30 years and their 2 children. His daughter attends Indiana University and his son attends Purdue University. In his free time, you can find Dr. Dzakovich volunteering at a Medicaid Clinic in Chicago or as a part of the camera crew at The Orchard Church. He also enjoys time socializing with friends or reading a good book.
We are so happy that Kinga has joined our team as our hygienist on Wednesdays and Thursdays. She has taken Ninas place as Nina wanted more time with her family. Kinga grew up in Chicago and now resides in Mount Prospect. She attended Kellogg College in Battle Creek, Michigan and graduated cum laude from the Hygiene Program. Before coming to our office she worked in Chicago as a hygienist for almost 10 years. She is fluent in Polish. Kinga is married to Henry and they have a Blue Heeler, named Teddy and two cats. She enjoys walking Teddy and she and her husband make frequent trips to Wisconsin to hike, ski and enjoy the outdoors.
Coleen has been with us for a few years as our Monday hygienist. She has over 30 years of experience in the field and enjoys what she does. She is a longtime resident of Arlington Heights and lives with her children and two dogs. When Coleen has free time, she enjoys reading, hiking and walking the dogs.
Brandy is the voice you generally hear whenever you call the office. She has worked in the dental field more than 17 years. Her front desk experience includes working in both general and periodontic practices. She lives with her son and his dog. When she is not here, she enjoys walking the dog, riding motorcycles and spending time with her fianc, Mike.
Angela is Dr. Johns wife and joined the front desk team about 2 years ago after both of the children were away working on their education. After she graduated from Marquette University, she taught Fifth grade, worked as a legal assistant at a major law firm and ultimately attended De Paul University law school. She practiced law until the birth of their first child and then became a stay at home mom while their 2 children were in school. She currently is the office coordinator which means she does a bit of everything at the office. She is there to help you with whatever you may need.

As always, from my first dental visit to Dr. John Dzakovich over 30 years ago, to my most recent visit last week, the office personnel and the entire dental staff not only has been personable all the time but utmost caring about you as a patient! One cannot ask for anything more! It's a practice you can trust and feel comfortable with.

Dr. Dzakovich is a dentist who is all too rare in his field. Once you step inside the office, no one exists but you. He is thorough and passionate about everything from a checkup to a filling to ensuring your crown is perfect (I mean it, PERFECT). Before performing a procedure, he insists on understanding and communicating the "big picture" so there are no surprises.(He saved me from another laissez faire dentist who assured me everything was fine until I had huge problems!) For dental-phobes, he also stays on top of ways to make procedures painless and comfortable. And there's his staff. Efficient, friendly, helpful and on time!!!!! The second you make an appointment you are family. I never thought I'd say I enjoy going to the dentist. But I really do!!!

Zero stars. This review is based solely on conversations I had with Angela, Dr. Dzakovich's wife, who works in this office. Called the office a few times trying to find out the cost of initial consult and images since they are out of network with my dental insurance. Also, I was given different information, one said bitewing X-ray will be needed, another person said Panoramic X-ray and Angela said they will need full mouth X-Ray. Brenda said they'll need to send pre-estimate to the insurance to find out the exact cost. I gave Angela my insurance information so she can send pre-estimate to them and find out the cost. When I called back next day it turned out Angela did not contact my insurance, she told me it's best for me to contact them. Why did she ask for my insurance information if she was not going to send them pre-estimate??? and Why she would call the dentist's office that referred me to them?? The other dentist is not going to give them pre-estimate cost for sure! When I asked Angela "Why didn't you contact me if you had questions" she stated that she tried to call me, but that's a lie because I did not received any voice message or a missed call from this office. Every time I talk to her she lies about something. In last conversation I had with her she stated the other dentist's office manager told her that they gave me a list of dentists to go to, LOL. That's another lie! The other dentist referred me to this office only! What a lier!!! When I called my insurance later they told me the dentist's office needs to submit pre-estimate. They could not tell the exact cost without pre-estimate. Angela is very unprofessional and rude. She insulted me at one point by saying "Since money is an issue for you..." I did not say anything about not being able to pay for it! If I couldn't afford it I wouldn't be shopping for a dentist in the first place. Just because she married a dentist that does not give her any right to look into other people's pockets and insult them!! Besides there is nothing wrong for trying to find out the cost before receiving service. In the middle of the conversation she pretty much hang up on me .... Angela is unbelievably rude, very unprofessional and lies left and right... This should have been a very simple, straightforward process. There are thousands of dentists in Chicago area. Even if this was the only dental office in the area I would still be looking elsewhere to go. I don't need to deal with rude, unprofessional staff, who lies and thinks she has a right to insult you...

Transferred from a strip mall dentist chain to Dr. Dzakovich in April 2021 and had an absolutely great experience. They are thorough and take to the time to explain everything to you with great care. Highly recommend the practice to anyone looking for something more than a fast food approach to dentistry. Bravo to their entire staff and Dr. Dzakovich!

What a great experience! This was my first visit after the shutdown for the pandemic. They took the steps needed to make me feel very safe and comfortable in this new COVID-19 world. Everyone there was very friendly and made me feel like family. If you're looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Dzakovich!

Fantastic dentist and staff. My family have been seeing Dr. John for over 25 years and would not go anywhere else. In fact, when my daughters lived out of town they refused to use a local dentist, but would fly home to see Dr. John. In the words of my daughter "I'm not letting anyone but Dr. John touch my teeth!" It's not just Dr. John, the entire staff is wonderful, compassionate and professional; always accommodating and helpful.

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Dzakovich. I have never had anything but a warm and friendly experience with everybody in the office. From the front desk to the dental assistants to Dr. Dzakovich himself, everyone is caring and professional. I live out of state now but continue to see Dr. Dzakovich regularly when I am in Illinois on holiday. The dental care is excellent, and I can't imagine finding a better dentist.

Does an amazingly thorough job. I have never had such a detailed exam and really felt like I was getting the best care. He has great bed side manner, and answers all your questions. You can tell he is very passionate about his field. His staff is exceptional as well.
