Laura Office Coordinator Laura joined our team in April 2009, she began her dental career 19 years ago as a dental assistant/lab tech, in Long Island, NY. She relocated to Virginia 14 years ago and expanded her skills by learning the business aspect of dentistry. As our Office Manager/Finacial Coordinator she helps our practice to run smoothly and efficiently by making sure our team has everything needed to perform successful treatments. She has a passion for dentistry and we benefit from her dual talents, as well as her love of helping patients meet their goals for a happy and healthy smile. In her downtime she enjoys music, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family.
Leo Dental Hygienist Our dental hygienist, Leo Ismael, grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he initially started his dental career path. It was his senior year of high school that he realized the dental field was his calling after taking a dental assistant course at CATEC. He then took two years of prerequisites at PVCC before transferring to the VCU School of Dentistry. Leo graduated in 2017 with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene. He has worked for John J. Andre, DDS & Associates for over two years. You will run into him at both our Glen Allen and Louisa locations. Leo likes to spend time with family and friends and enjoys traveling when hes not at work. Hes always up for suggestions for his next trip. Do you have any?
Kathryn Front Desk Kathryn has been in the dental field for over six years and is a Certified Dental Assistant who graduated from Centura College. She enjoys spending her free time with her three daughters, gaming, and loves to travel.
Tina Practice Manager Tina has been part of the John J. Andre, DDS & Associates team since 2001. Her primary job is Office Manager/Financial Coordinator. However, she is also thoroughly cross-trained to work as a dental assistant. She currently holds certificates in HIPAA, CPR OSHA, and radiation safety. She holds a Carecredit certification and is a Dentrix Mastery Tracks Specialist, one of only a few hundred in the country. A positive patient experience is her highest priority and we as a team strive to make that happen with each patient interaction. Her hope is that every patient leaves our office feeling comfortable, cared for and confident in choosing us for their dental care. Tina is currently furthering her education to become a licensed hygienist. The thing she values most is spending time with her husband and their children.
Erin Scheduling Coordinator Erin joined our team in 2021 as our scheduling coordinator. She prides herself on giving patients quality customer service. She has numerous years of medical experience but is excited to make the transition into dentistry. Erin is conscientious, courteous and will go to great lengths to ensure patients are taken care of in a timely fashion. When away from the office, she loves to spend time with her fianc, John, and prides herself on being the best mommy possible to her daughter, Sophia.
Carleigh Office Assistant Carleigh joined our team in 2022 as an office assistant. She is currently training to be a multifunctional team member. Her future plans are to go to hygiene school and practice as a licensed dental hygienist in Virginia. In her free time, Carleigh enjoys having family time, shopping with friends and traveling with her boyfriend, Logan. She also is a great mom to their fur baby, Hank, a bloodhound.

April Dental Assistant In Memoriam of our assistant April: April began assisting in 1980 and loved the profession ever since. She worked with John J. Andre, DDS & Associates since 1996. Her vast knowledge of general dentistry as well as prosthodontics allowed her to give our patients the highest level of service. April loved the high standards we set for ourselves at our practice and enjoyed seeing how happy our patients became with their new smiles. Outside of work she loved to bake and often treated the team with her creations.
Tina M. Dental Assistant Tina M. has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry. She began her career in dentistry in 1999 with Dr. Andre. After venturing out, she returned to our practice in the summer of 2020. She has a bubbly personality and is always joking, smiling and laughing. Her favorite part of dentistry is seeing patients gain back their confidence through smile transformations. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her three children, her grandson, three dogs and friends. Even with her busy life Tina is currently enrolled in higher education and is pursuing a degree in dental hygiene.
Kathryne Dental Assistant Kathryne joined our team in 2021 as a dental assistant. She is currently cross training to become efficient in all aspects of the profession. Kathryne started her career in 2018 being trained by her mother, who has been a respected assistant for many years. You will see Kathryne working in many areas of our office wherever she may be needed. During her time away from work, she loves most sports and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending concert venues, watching movies and reading.
Isabella Dental Hygiene Assistant Isabella joined our team in 2022 as a part-time dental hygiene assistant. She currently works in orthodontics full time. You will be able to meet Isabella on Fridays when she comes to assist our hygienist, Leo. In her off time, Isabella loves to spend time with her siblings and to travel. Making memories with them is very important to her.
