Dr. Shelton is a graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where he received first- rate training in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Shelton was raised in Metropolis, Illinois, and attended Metropolis High School, which he graduated from in 1979. He chose to return to his hometown to continue in the traditions of a 50+ year-old dental practice that is still successful today.
Through a combination of state of the art technology, sensible treatment plans and genuine devotion to the unique needs of each patient, Dr. Shelton preserves healthy teeth and gums, alleviates oral discomfort and improves the appearance of smiles on a daily basis. Although they were very nice, I went for a root canal. They injected a numbing medicine and numbing cream and I still felt pain while the procedure was happening. He told me to raise my hand if I felt pain and it wasn't 10 seconds into the process I felt pain. I raised my hand he injected a needle right into the gum. In the end I ended up with a half finished root canal because I left. I'm going to another place to remove the tooth.

I have absolutely found my new dentist! I am 100% pleased with the manners of everyone in the building and the quailty of service. They got me in very quickly (I called to make an appointment and got in the very next day). I was treated so nicely by everyone there and was finished with everything in 45 minutes. Having a tooth extracted and being a new patient I thought I would be there for much longer. Not everyone has a wonderful experience at the dentist but I absolutely did. I will be recommending this office to everyone.

I've been going there about 10 years he's always been about half a jerk last time I was there hassled me about the bill when I was in the chair I spent thousands there last time he pulled the tooth cracked my jawbone I think you did it on purpose if I can prove it I'd have him in jail!

I love this place. I have medical card and get terrible service on dental. So I pay 100% out of pocket to come to Dr Shelton. He's the best dentist around no joke. And the staff, they're wonderful! I highly recommend this place to everyone! No complaints at all from me!

If you want a kind, caring, genuine staff and doctor this is the place to go. I have had some horrible experiences with dentist to the point I avoided them worse than any other doctor around. Dr. Shelton is a very nice guy. If your not numb he wont do nothing until you are. If you say OUCH that hurts he stops immediately. I've been going to his office for a year now. His staff are friendly, nice and care. If your looking for a great dentist I highly recommend Dr. Shelton.

Dr. Shelton is a very nice guy. If your not numb he wont do nothing until you are. If you say OUCH that hurts he stops immediately. I've been going to his office for a year now. His staff are friendly, nice and care. If your looking for a great dentist I highly recommend Dr. Shelton.

Team members are extremely genuine, polite, and willing to answer any questions. I especially appreciated the personalized treatment and the office manager's caring and honest personality. My 87 year old grandmother had some major treatment done here and I was very happy with how well they treated her :)

Thank God for Dr. Shelton and staff. I had an emergency yesterday and could not get in touch with any dentist in the area not even my regular one. I called and was seen the same day and the experience was amazing. The office is very clean and everyone is so professional. Dr. Shelton knows his stuff! Thanks!!!
