Dr. Newell has been a specialist in Orthodontics for over 20 years. Dr. Newell graduated second in his class from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine. He was also elected into membership of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Following graduation, he was one of five students accepted into Pitt's specialty program in Orthodontics where he received a master's degree and certificate in Orthodontics. Since then, Dr. Newell has been in private practice in Murrysville, providing orthodontic care for patients from all over the area.
When Dr. Newell is not caring for patients in the office, he enjoys spending as much time as possible in the outdoors with his wife, Valerie, his two sons, Tyler and Ben, and their springer spaniel, Tucker. His hobbies include skiing, mountain biking, boating, and fishing. He particularly enjoys fly-fishing and even makes most of his own flies. Through the years, 'Coach' Newell has volunteered his time to youth ice hockey, in which both of his boys are avid participants.

Braces are a common part of life in the United States today. An improved smile can mean a great deal for a child who is self conscious or an adult who has felt inhibited for years by unattractive teeth. Scientific research has repeatedly shown the mouth and face to be focal points of communication and social interaction.
There can be little doubt that an attractive facial appearance and smile can improve the quality of life in many dimensions. I consider all factors of facial and dental appearance in planning individual treatments.

I am 41 years old getting braces for the 1st time. Being very nervous, I felt at ease some being in their office. I am overly pleased with Dr. Newell and ALL his staff! They are very friendly, kind, and make you feel comfortable. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by your first name with a very welcoming smile. I am only in my 3rd month of treatment and I am looking forward to all my appointments, and the end result! I would recommend Dr. Newell and his staff without hesitation!!!

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Newell for orthodontic work. I went to him as a new patient. He was extremely patient and kind as I explained my issue. Karen who I spoke to on the phone and who I saw the first day was also very kind and understanding. All the information relayed back to me was in a manner I could easily understand. All of the other staff I have encountered at the office are also very professional and polite. I am very happy I found Dr. Newell.

Dr. Newell & ALL of his staff are absolutely phenomenal!! I recently completed my invisalign journey & am beyond satisfied with not only the results but everything in between.
