Traditional tooth replacement methods look like teeth, but they lack a crucial feature: tooth roots. This hidden part of your natural tooth stimulates the jawbone, preventing it from wasting away. Without stimulation, the jawbone recedes and more teeth can be lost.

A dental implant, which is a titanium post inserted into your jaw, is an artificial root that encourages bone growth and keeps your jaw strong. It also supports the natural-looking tooth restoration that fills the gap in your smile and gives you the strong bite that allows you to eat the food you enjoy.

Whether you are replacing one tooth or many, Drs. Fatse and Scovic make dental implant treatment as convenient as possible. Because of our advanced capabilities, we can complete all phases of your dental implant right here at the Offices of John G. Fatse, DMD, in Monroe. If you need preparatory steps before the implant, we can treat advanced gum disease, as well as perform bone grafts and sinus lifts.

Highly recommend Dr. Fatses office!! Best dental experience Ive had by far. The office staff are so pleasant, kind and welcoming and Dr. Fatse is extremely thorough and informative. Extremely satisfied!!

When you are missing a single tooth, one implant will be placed to support a natural-looking artificial tooth, replicating the original one from root to crown. Multiple implants can be used to support a denture.

One of the downsides of missing teeth is the accompanying loss of bone density in the jaw. Without enough bone, you may not be able to support a traditional dental implant. If this is the problem you face, there may be an alternative: mini dental implants.

Mini dental implants, which are madeof titanium, are similar to traditional ones, just smaller. They are about the diameter of a toothpick, which makes them small enough to fit where a traditional implant can't. In addition to not requiring as much bone density, mini implants are less expensiveand the procedure is less invasive, which makes recovery faster.

Professional and friendly. Hygienist Melissa was a real pro, concerned about my comfort, explained each part of her process and made sound suggestions for improving my dental health. Dr John Fatse also did an excellent job analyzing/diagnosing a new patient and communicating needed procedure. Much more comfortable when you are in the company of actual professionals.

Love love love Dr. Fatse. Extremely great service. Treats his patients with care at all times and never sugar coats anything for a buck. I always leave his office feeling great. Great staff, great service, latest technology and very well kept environment.

Dental implants are an investment in your oral health and can help you minimize future dental costs. But we understand patients need to fit treatment into their budget. To help patients get the dental care they need, we offer interest-free financing through CareCredit. We're happy to help you navigate insurance and financing options.

One of our dentists will meet with you to discuss your goals and use a 3-D CBCT scanner to assess your mouth and bone density. If you are a good candidate for implants, he will explain your options and answer any questions you may have.

Some patients need preparatory treatments to create a healthy foundation for implants. If needed, we have the skills and technology to extract severely decayed teeth, treat gum disease, or perform bone grafts and sinus lifts.

After osseointegration, the gums will be opened to reveal the implant and a connector piece called an abutment will be attached. In about two weeks, the gums will grow around the abutment creating a natural seal.

Once the gums have healed, your dentist will take an impression of the abutment and surrounding teeth to guide creation of the restoration. In many cases, we can use our CEREC technology to mill your crown or bridge and attach it immediately. Dentures typically take longer.

When your restoration is ready, we will check that it fits comfortably and blends in with your natural teeth before attaching it. The only thing left is for you to share your beautiful new smile with the world.

CEREC machines are advanced crown-milling units that employ CAD/CAM (computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing) technology. Dr. Fatse was an early adopter of this innovative system. In fact, his Monroe office was the third in all of Connecticut to offer CEREC one-visit crowns. To date, he has performed over 6,000 CEREC procedures.

We will need to remove any decay from your tooth and reshape it so that it can receive a dental crown. If you have an infected tooth, you will likely require root canal therapy. We use dental lasers for superior accuracy and comfort when treating teeth.

Once your tooth has been reshaped, our dentists will use the ultra-modern Primescan intraoral scanner to create a digital impression of your bite. They then upload these images of your teeth to the CEREC machine.

Based on the scans of your teeth, the CEREC machine will mill a crown out of a block of premium porcelain. Our doctors will be sure to select a shade of porcelain that matches your smile. Because the machine references a highly accurate scan of your bite, you can trust that the dental crown will fit snugly over your prepared tooth, unlike the temporary crowns other dentists provide.

We keep our office up-to-date with the latest dental technology. The Primescan intraoral scanner is one of the newest dental scanners on the market, and it is unmatched in its ability to capture accurate images of patients' teeth. We are proud to make use of this groundbreaking tool because it allows us to provide the best dental care possible to our valued patients.

Dr John Fatse has decades of experience with complex reconstructions, continuous bridges and cosmetically restorative techniques. Equally important, he has a wonderful caring and assuring manner that puts me at ease whenever I am in his chair. Some of the secrets to Dr Fatse's success... 1) phenomenal attention to dentistry detail, 2) very advanced technology and software throughout his practice and 3) his insistence on working with only the best labs and outside providers. It's so nice to be able to eat corn again !

We have been to several different dentist offices, and this one is by far the best one we have ever been to. Doctor Scovic is very patient and kind with a great sense of humor. The whole office is very down to earth and easy to talk to. Every one of their employees that I haven spoken to were very patient and helpful with my 100+ questions. They are also very kind when I have to play telephone between them and my husband several times when he is slammed at work. I could say good things about them all day, so I will just leave you with this... I HIGHLY recommend this dentist.(BTW this is my husbands wife tyoing this)

I've been a client for a year. I was searching for an Invisalign dentist and got their mailer advertising high tech methods, so thought to try them. Dr. Fatse is professional, kind and caring, as is the staff. Dr. reviews everything with me and gives options for improving the health and overall appearance of my teeth. They make coming to the dentist easy and comfortable. Results have been great and I am getting compliments on my smile.

Two weeks ago I had an appointment with Dr. Fatse, to have my teeth cleaned. A cavity was found in my front tooth, that I couldn't see or feel. In addition to that I asked to have a grey tooth bonded to match the others. The grey tooth that was bonded is lighter than it was, but still grey and feels like sand paper. My filling is quite obvious. Before considering writing this, I made another appointment, hoping for a remedy. Dr. Fatse's attitude was that my complaint was unfounded, and therefore no reason to remedy anything. Needless to say, had I not had my teeth cleaned, I would still have my $1161.00. My front teeth would be the same with the exception of the obvious filling.

I'm pretty sure I already submitted a review. Anyhow here I received another request to submit one. I think the office is top-notch and I could not ask for a better dentist than Dr Scovik. Allso, all the hygienists are above and beyond what I have experienced in the past offices I had visited. Highly recommend this office!
