Dr. Miller was raised in Decatur, Illinois. He received his B.S. in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1995 and went on to earn his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Southern Illinois University in 2001.
Dr. Miller is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Colorado Dental Association. Dr. Miller is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to better serve the dental care needs of his patients and provide them with a gentle and comfortable dental experience.
In his free time, Dr. Miller is an avid, lifelong tennis player, and enjoys many of the aspects and activities that mountain life has to offer such as cycling, camping, hiking, and snowboarding. Dr. Miller and his wife, Renee had their first child in June of 2018.
Dr. Rivers was raised in Springfield, MO. He received his B.S. in Biology from Rockhurst University (Kansas City's Jesuit University). Following University, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University - Illinois in 2015. Having always been interested in excellence, Dr. Rivers opted to complete a one year hospital residency in general dentistry (GPR) at Truman Medical Centers hospital system in Lee's Summit, MO where he received advanced training in general dentistry and further developed skills in oral surgery, sedation, endodontics (root canals), and prosthodontics (crowns/ bridges).
After completing dental training Dr. Rivers pursued his dream of living in the mountains starting in Montrose, CO and settling in Basalt, CO since 2017. He is committed to being a well-rounded dentist in all aspects of general dentistry and is constantly learning to keep up with trends in dentistry. In addition to taking various standalone continuing education courses, he is a member of the Western Slope Spear Institute Study Club, our local branch of the nationally recognized center for dental education.By being a lifelong learner, Dr. Rivers hopes to serve your needs in a compassionate, empathetic, and clinically excellent manner.
