Dr. John Greif is an Evansville, Indiana native who began his academic career at Resurrection Catholic School and also attended Holy Rosary Catholic School and Reitz Memorial Catholic High School. Dr. Greif is the son of Mrs. Joan Greif and the late Dr. L. Charles Greif of Newburgh, Indiana. He has six siblings. Dr. Greif and his wife, Samantha, are members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh, Indiana. Together they have seven children. Dr. Greif enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf and tennis.
