Hi, Im Dr. John Buzza and I have a great job! Ive been making smiles and lives better since 1983. Until 1997, sleep dentistry where youre lightly sedated while we do one or more procedures was unknown in Santa Rosa until I began to offer it to my patients. Ive also been a dental instructor on cosmetic dentistry at the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, a unique program that teaches advanced cosmetic and reconstructive dental techniques to enrich the lives of patients and exceed their expectations.
Ive presented and facilitated Dental Boot Kamps across the United States and been an instructor for Discus Dentals PAC Live in San Francisco where I focused on wants-based versus needs-based dentistry. Im a Distinguished Mentor at the Kois Center and Ive lectured at the Kois Center Annual Symposium on subjects from Marketing to Practice Administration. I also serve the dental profession by helping practitioners transition into their practices, creating the Dental Professional Opportunities Network and MyDentalChannel.com.
When Im not working, I love to ski and hike with my wife, Martha. I have two amazing children, Meg and Jack. Im passionate about aviation and physical fitness, and I strive to maintain balance in my life and help others do the same in theirs!
Meet Jenn, our Practice Manager! Jenn is here to lead our awesome Buzza Team to great success and even better patient care. She takes great pride in helping patients with their extensive treatment plans and finding the best solution for their dental needs. She enjoys engaging in trusting relationships and being a support system for our patients and enriching their lives. Jenn is a proud mom of two beautiful children and in her spare time enjoys attending community events, outdoor adventures, camping, gardening and cooking.
Shauna joined the Buzza team in 2019 as our Treatment Coordinator. She is an expert at making sure youre efficiently and properly scheduled to make your experience amazing! When in doubt or in question of what next steps are during your treatment, Shauna will help you see it through. In 1995 Shauna became an RDA and has had the pleasure of working in the dental field ever since. She grew up in San Anselmo and moved to Sonoma County in 1998. When not working she enjoys family time with her children and hiking with her dogs.
Hi, Im Lorie! Ive been in the dental profession for over 20 years and joined the Buzza team in 2019. I am this awesome teams resident insurance expert and will assist you with your questions and do my very best to maximize your insurance benefits. Im a California native living in Santa Rosa with my husband of many years and two very loved and spoiled dogs. When Im not working for Dr. Buzza, Im busy creating fused glass that I sell at local art shows and galleries throughout the year.
As our go to gal for all hygiene scheduling, Brittany brings a bright spirit and happy go lucky demeanor to our front office. Brittany was born and raised in Sonoma County and takes great pride in her community. As a longtime resident, you can find Brittany enjoying local events, wineries, and social gatherings. She is hands down our social butterfly.
Before joining Dr. Buzza's team in 1994, I graduated from the University of California San Francisco Dental Hygiene program in 1990. To provide the highest level of care for all our dental office patients, I'm soft tissue laser certified and regularly take advanced courses to keep up on the latest dental techniques and therapies. I'm also an instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College where I teach clinical Dental Hygiene. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend Keith, and my dog Josie. I play competitive soccer and enjoy golf, camping, and travel.
First, I was a patient at Dr. Buzza's office. My family started coming here in 1996 and we immediately felt confident that we were receiving superior dentistry and a superior amount of compassion. When I chose a career in dental hygiene, I hoped to work at an office with the same quality of care. I'm very proud and fortunate to be a part of Dr. Buzza's team. I strive to offer personalized care in a warm family environment. When I'm not working, I enjoy the outdoors. I love cycling, backpacking, camping, and travel. Although I was born and raised here in Santa Rosa, I've traveled all over the world. And every time I return home, I'm even more grateful to be able to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world.
We are so thrilled to have Kerri as a part of our hygiene crew! With being a Sonoma County native and involved heavily with the community, Kerri already knows so many of our patients. She brings the perfect can-do attitude to our practice and knows how to make all our patients feel right at home. She has a very caring, considerate nature. Kerri enjoys local hangouts and socializing with her friends, she enjoys the outdoors, and country lifestyle.
As a recent graduate of the Santa Rosa Junior College Dental Assisting Program, I had the opportunity to intern in several dental practices. I have always had the desire to work in the dental field, but it was also important to me that I work in a great environment. Dr. Buzza made me feel at home and I see that same approach with everyone that walks through our door. I'm proud to be on this team! When I'm home, I love spending time with my husband and three wonderful children, Bailey, Chloe, and Wyatt. I enjoy working out, running, playing softball, camping, and anything outdoors.
Karin graduated from Bryman college in 2005 where she received her RDA license and joined the Buzza team in 2015 as an assistant and New Patient Treatment Coordinator. She enjoys working with people and helps ease dental fears, she is compassionate and caring. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, golfing, biking wine tasting and photographing sports and our beautiful Sonoma County. She has spent the last 15 years giving back to the community volunteering with the local PTA and youth activities.
Meet Katie!! Making our patients feel welcome and well taken care of. She is the epitome of Exceeding Expectations. Shell help to make sure your experience here is exceptional. When Katie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog Thor, wine and beer tasting, and photographing the beautiful hills of Sonoma County.
My friends call me Pax, my nickname was given to me when I started working in the dental field in 2015 as a sterile technician. As a New Patient Coordinator, Ive found my niche. I love helping patients get the smile theyve always wanted and assisting the doctor in new patient exams. When having complex treatment plans, I really listen to what the patients expectations are. Dental is not first nature to most people, so it is my goal to make patient experiences as easy and comfortable as possible. In my spare time I enjoy being out in the fresh air on adventures with my friends and spending quality time with my family.

I found Dr. Buzza when my front tooth broke in half and I had to have a replacement done. My old dentist had a big replacement job planned, dig tooth out, pin in the jaw and a false tooth, Doctor Buzza used the remaining part of the tooth, a pin and a double crown. My last dentist let a cavity in my front tooth go until it broke off, and missed sever others under old crowns ~ no cavities, new crowns and a full set of teeth in my partial. Very happy with the doctor and all the staff.

My x rays and cleaning were done in a professional manner and any questions I had were easily answered. And later the Dentist came in and reviewed everything and made a couple of preventative comments. I appreciated my time there and altho I have been offered free cleanings and services elsewhere thru my healthcare organization I have no plans to change offices unless something unforeseen arises. Bravo job!

I love my hygienist Karrie! She is so quick and gentle and always listens to my concerns. My teeth and gums have gotten so much healthier while under her care. I don't dread cleanings anymore, I look forward to them, which is huge for me.

Great experience here, all the staff is so nice and friendly! I'm lucky to have found Dr. Buzza, never have I been more happy with my teeth than I am now. He made sure they looked perfect and took extra time to make sure I loved the look of them personally too! Thanks so much! 10/10 would recommend!

I am TERRIFIED of going to the dentist. I have severe anxiety from the time I schedule the appointment all the way through the end of treatment. I have had plenty of tough dental visits where I was treated as a nuisance or a bother due to my fear which ultimately made my fears worse. I was referred to Dr Buzza by another dental office who essentially was tired of my anxiety and done treating me. I had my first visit today and have never had such a positive, comforting, easy, gracious medical experience in my life. Pax (spell?) took time to learn about my fears and we chatted about our puppies, he spent time with me.offering water and making sure I felt safe and comfortable. Dr Buzza was incredibly kind. He did not dismiss or diminish my previous negative dental history, instead he said he understood anf would help me through treatment in whatever way I felt safe and comfortable. The office staff said hello when you passed them, the front desk ladies were warm anf kind and made me feel welcome and respected. A lot of people can go to the dentist and it's no big thing and I wish I was one of those people but I am not. However, I believe I have finally found my dentist. I have a few root canals and cavities to tackle but I feel confident I can get through the treatment with Dr Buzzas team caring for anf supporting me through it. They also have a wonderful woman who meets with you after your visit to go over your treatment plan, explain your fees and plan your work schedule. She also gave me a bag of goodies which included a super cute water tumbler, pen, chapstick, drink cozy, and a t-shirt to rep my new dentist! Which brings me to my last point - they gave me a shirt IN MY SIZE. I'm "plus size" and have gone my entire live getting free shirts in a child's medium because that's all they had. Not Dr Buzzas office, my Shirt FITS. It's the little things that can make a big difference for people. 1873773 stars. Grateful to have found them.

Everyone at Dr Buzza's office is extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Dr Buzza and Dr Douglas are both amazing. I also really enjoy the sound tracks that play overhead, not to mention the chairs give gentle massage while your teeth are being treated. I h have full confidence in their care . I am happy to have been referred to this office.

I observed something you don't usually see in a review. I observed how Dr Buzza is obviously reinvesting in his business. This was evident by the use of new technology that I witnessed. He seems to have all the latest and greatest equipment. Maybe, more importantly, my dental hygienist, Rene, was obviously thoroughly trained in how to use it. It made my visit efficient and thorough. I'm glad to have found Dr Buzza's office. I have since switched my wife to him and my parents will be switching to Dr Buzza shortly. Also, at the checkout desk, everything about future appointments and costs and insurance coverage was explained in every detail. Completely transparent.

Absolutely fantastic! Best dentist appointment ever! The people that worked there and the overall energy I felt from the office itself was so calming and I felt so at ease everyone was so friendly.Loved Dr. Buzza! He was definitely worth the wait. Everyone was so knowledgeable and helped me to understand exactly what I needed done and gave me choices. I would recommend this office to everyone!
