Dr. John Brunetti and his office are great! The front desk staff as well as the nurses are kind and knowledgeable. I had my wisdom teeth extracted with general anesthesia. We got started on time and I did not feel a thing and there was no swelling afterwards. Dr. Brunetti is very professional, easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I'm glad my dentist referred me to him!

I am very suprised by some negative reviews. As a matter of fact we almost did not use this oral surgeon because of it. Some people may be confusing clinic issues with insurance issues. The office staff typically does not know what someone's insurance pla will cover or not. We had wonderful experience. Dr. Brunetti explained the procedure and was very professional. The office staff was nice. My son had his wisdom teeth removed and everything went well. I would recommend this clinic.

Doctor and nurses have the worst bedside manor. Doctor acted like he was bothered by having to remove my fiancees wisdom teeth and the nurses had attitudes when I asked them questions. I will most definitely b reporting them to the dentistry licensing board.

Overconfident My dentist referred me here to get one of my wisdom teeth extracted. When I called to make my initial consult I was told that I needed to ask my dentist to send in all my x-rays. They were sent but was told that I would still need to get a panoramic X-ray to see where my nerves are. when I came in to my consult, the doctor seemed very rushed and annoyed at my questions. It seemed he just wanted to be done and move on. He did not tell me what to expect nor any possible risks. His attitude rubbed me the wrong way but I let it slide because I understand sometimes you can have bad days. I told him that I was told on the phone I would need a panoramic X-ray, to which he said "oh, you don't need that". Given that he is the doctor, I shrugged and walked out and set up my extraction appointment. I chose to go with the local anesthetic, so the day of my extraction I was awake. The doctor did not look at me in the eyes once, didn't say hi or acknowledge that I was a human. I felt like a task he needed to get done. He had the same irritated and rushed attitude he had when I came in initially. The only positive thing was that he was incredibly fast. Once he was done he quickly explained how to clean the area and handed me a small brochure that talked about the possibly of dry socket. I asked if I was going to need antibiotics, he said no because the risk of infection was very low. I believe I was given 2 shots of the anesthetic, I clearly felt when one of the shots wore off. However my lower left lip, chin and gum area were still numb. After 8+ hours I started to worry, and I started wondering if something else could be happening. That's when I found the possibility of nerve damage. All my symptoms fit so I called the office back after 3 days to say that I was still feeling numb. I was told that since I had to get several rounds of anesthetic it can sometimes take several days for it to clear up. When I asked about the possibility of nerve damage the person on the phone immediately said no, however after talking a little more she said that sometimes the tooth might be wrapped around the nerve and when the tooth is pulled out, it can bump the nerve. She told me to call back in 2 weeks if it still didn't go away. 3 weeks later I was still numb so I called again, I began by asking how important the panoramic X-ray is to them because I learned that since that X-ray helps to determine where my nerves are, they would have been able to take precautions or AT LEAST WARN ME about the possibility of nerve damage. The lady on the phone confirmed this. So I went on to tell her that even though I was told that I would need the panoramic X-ray, the doctor said I didn't need it and did not give it to me. The receptionist quickly stated that the doctor has a lot of experience and is usually pretty good at "knowing" where the nerves are. That sounded like she was trying to cover for him. Further I learned that If you're over 25 the chances that the root of the tooth and the nerves would be intertwined highly increases, I am turning 30 in less than a week- so given my age I should have definitely gotten that X-ray done. The receptionist told me that it's very normal and common for this to happen. Is it really?? Why did every single page I visited when trying to figure out what happened state that it is a rare side effect. I know I accept risks when I choose to undergo a procedure- but If it's SO common, then wouldn't they warn everyone about it? The receptionist told me that the numbness could also be because my tooth was very infected. NO ONE told me my tooth was infected. How come it took so long to tell me my tooth was infected? wouldn't it have made sense to give me some antibiotics so the infection wouldn't spread deeper? But dr said no because the chances to get an infection are rare! It's been 7 weeks since my procedure and I am STILL experiencing numbness. it's improving, but I'm NOT happy with the Drs attitude and overconfidence that led him to not take appropriate precautions to prevent nor warn me of possible nerve damage

Brought my 87 year old mother for tooth extraction and I am disappointed with the way the doctor treated my mother. Uncaring and no empathy. He was demeaning and unprofessional. I'm glad his assistant Vera was understanding of my mom's dementia and mental health. Maybe he shouldn't be taking seniors as patients because he was not very good at it.

My son has a phobia of needles, Dr Brunetti made him feel comfortable and my son was in awe of how easy the wisdom teeth extraction went. His recuperation went amazingly well! I can't recommend him enough.

I took my daughter to Doctor Brunetti's office in Vernon Hills as she had gum infection that was bothering her and didn't know what it was. Doctor Brunetti let us know that her wisdom teeth were impacted and needed to be removed. We scheduled a future visit to have this procedure done and my daughter felt no pain during or after the procedure. No more mouth infection!! Thanks again for caring Doctor and doing a wonderful extraction on my daughters wisdom teeth!!

Was able to remove a tooth in less than 1 minute that other dentists/surgeons spent minimally a half hour trying to remove to no avail. Saved me an insane amount of pain, and healing time. I almost wish I came directly here, as this extraction felt little, if any invasiveness. I don't think I would have had much, if any residual pain if it was not for the previous removal attempts/ pressure on my jaw/ surrounding teeth. Then on top of all that, dr Brunetti is the MOST comfortable personable dr/ person I've been around in a long time. In this field, ever. Same goes for his assistants, and the front desk. Prices are reasonable. There's absolutely no reason to not come to this place especially if you are paying without insurance. Very reasonable. -Sal

After calling several dentists to remove a few roots left by "a dentist".. I found John through a business card I received by a friend and I don't regret it. I'm 3 days out and everything feels much better thanks to John and his staff. Everyone seemed happy and enjoyed what they do. Definitely a place to go when you need them....
