Dr. Thomas is a 1970 graduate of Tuskegee Institute, now Tuskegee University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, a 1977 graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham with Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and a graduate of Troy State University-European Division with a Master of Public Administration degree.
Dr. Thomas is a current member of the Nebraska Board of Dentistry. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association and the Omaha Dental District Society. He is member of the Central Regional Dental Testing Service, a past Secretary of the Nebraska Dental Association, past President of the Omaha Dental District Society and a Board member of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Dental District Society.
He continues his dental education each year to stay abreast of the latest developments in dentistry and treatments modalities by attending seminars and conferences. John is licensed to practice in Nebraska and retired his license to practice in Alabama. He is a member of the Omaha Dental Study Club.

Anti-microbial hand cleanser is available in the waiting room. The reception area has been rearranged to honor social distancing; however, you may be asked to wait in your vehicle before coming in to prevent overlapping visits. A mask is required and one can be provided to you if needed.
FinancialWe will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients with financial concerns, we can assist you in applying for a Care Credit card. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.

Nobody likes the dentist. Except I do. Every time I go to Dr. Thomas' office, I leave feeling better than I did when I got there. I leave knowing that my teeth are clean, there are no cavities and the sensitivity issues are fixed and are under control. Dr. Thomas and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and courteous. Even when I go in crying about how a tooth hurts, I'm never dismissed as it being all in my head. Every problem is investigated to find out what is causing the pain. The problems have been fixed each time. There are probably 50 to 100 different dentist offices between where I live now from where I have to drive to the office, but I still will not go anywhere else. It's so difficult to find a great dentist. Since I found him, I won't be going anywhere else.

Lied to me about what my insurance covered, said they had contacted my insurance and said it was 100% covered so that I would agree to do their procedure. Then a week later after I did it they called and said they "regretted" giving me the wrong answer and my insurance didn't cover it 100%, but screw you pay us.

I've lived in the neighborhood and have gone to Dr. Thomas for about 9 years now. The office is small so you get a personal feel. They make you feel welcome. Very friendly staff! They have TVs to watch while in the chair.

Great experience. Had a filling come out, Dr. Thomas got me in that day for x-rays, and replaced the filling the very next day. Thank you for the quick service!

I have been going to Dr. Thomas for 6+ years now. All of the staff members are super sweet and caring. They will remember you and things about you/your life; it has a small town feel. Never had a bad experience! I love this office and Dr. Thomas!
