Dr. Dell is half Native American from the Cochiti Pueblo Reservation in New Mexico. He is the second Native American to become a dentist in the United States. He has lived in California since the age of 2, having moved to San Francisco in 1957. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School (now SHCP) in 1960, attended the University of San Francisco for four years, and graduated from UCSF in 1969 where he received his BS and DDS degrees.
Dr. Dell has taught in the Crown and Bridge Department at the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry (now the Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry), during which he did dental illustrations for the department. He was also Chief of the Dental Clinic at Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco for eight years, while also practicing in various clinics and private offices throughout the Bay Area.
Dr. Dell is a current member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Mateo County Dental Society. He also is a member of the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, a past member of the Kiwanis Club of SSF, and of a charitable organization called the Pamakids. Dr. Dell resides in SSF with his wife. He enjoys reading, golfing, bicycling, photography, cooking, and gardening. His favorite teams are the USF Dons, Cal Bears, Stanford Cardinal, Golden State Warriors, SF 49ers, and SF Giants.
Jenny has worked in the dental field for over 32 years, both as an assistant and as a hygienist. Most of her years in practice include working in a periodontal office (a specialty practice that deals with gum disease).
Her main objective is on preventive dental care. She is dedicated to providing excellent care by educating patients about oral health and making each visit as comfortable and fun as possible! I treat each patient I see like I would want my own family to be treated. Its always a pleasure to get to know all the great people that come to our office and help Dr. Dell make healthy and beautiful smiles.

Dr Dell that has been providing me with high level professional service for a few years now. Not only quality of his work is very good but hospitality and friendly treatment by John and Debbie makes a visit to this office a very pleasant experience.

I have been a 20+year client of Dr Dell and have been continually satisfied and extremely impressed with his and his wife Debbie's personal care and attention to their clients' needs. Not only do they operate with great care and concern for their clients, but also for the community in which they operate. I highly recommend Dr John B Dell for anyone's dental needs.

Very Gentle & has Gas if you need it. I highly recommend this Dentist, you can get same day appts, He & his Staff are very nice, take their time to do a great job in a gentle way. Its very hard to find a good Dentist who also uses Gas Anesthesia if you need it. Love them!!! Wish I could give 10*! Outstanding!

Dr. Dell and Debbie are wonderful people. I was there about a year ago for a crown on my implants. The doctor who did the implants doesn't work on crowns. Dr. Dell did a great job on my mouth. Well now I bit into a peach pit by mistake and chip the crown. I came back to Dr. Dell to fix it and he did! Amazing. Even though it was my fault and because I spent so much on my mouth they did it for free. They are kind wonderful people and the Doc knows his stuff. I will be back.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Dell and Debbie for about 20 years. Nothing but good things to say about all dental work that they have done. From cleanings, fillings to crowns, I have never had any issues. Dr. Dell is the most painless dentist, especially when it comes to the Novocaine shots! I was referred to him by a friend, and in turn I have sent many of my friends to his offices.

I suffered a great deal of anxiety when I had to go to the dentist. I met John and Debbie in 2000 at a Giants game and when I found out he was a Dentist, I told him about my phobia. I made an appointment with John and ever since I've been at ease about going to the Dentist. My old Dentist use to scare the hell out of me and now, thanks to John, I have one of the brightest smiles in my whole life. Thanks to John and his wife Debbie for making me feel at ease.

I had really bad experiences as a child at dentists. When I moved to the San Francisco area in 1990, I needed to find a dentist, I went to many before I found Dr. Dell. I felt really comfortable right from the very beginning. For over 20 years I was well cared for by John and Debbie Dell. When I moved from the area a few years ago, my husband and I still scheduled our appointments when visiting the area. We miss the great care we had at Dr. Dell's office.

Dr. Dell is the BEST. No cavities in 16 years!!! Has been my son Robert's dentist too since age 2 and my kid just graduated high school. Nurse Debbie always works with you on scheduling around our busy lives and school. Professional, courteous on being punctual (no waiting). Clean and pleasant. Even when we moved away to Pleasanton. I kept as our dentist it's worth the drive. Keep up the good service!! Thank you from our family.
