Hi, I am Dr. Eric Johansen and I am originally from North Ogden, Utah. After graduating from Weber High School, I served an LDS Church mission to Frankfurt, Germany. After my mission, I attended Brigham Young University and majored in Zoology with an emphasis in a Human Biology. I graduated from BYU in 1996, and graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry at San Francisco, California in 2000. After associating with a few dentists in the area, I started my dental practice in West Jordan, Utah in 2003. Since graduating from dental school, I have completed many hours of continuing education in various aspects of dentistry including: cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), and oral surgery. I am a member of the SelectHealth dental advisory board. I reside in South Jordan with my wife, Kori, and we are the proud parents of four wonderful kids.
Hi, my name is Tiffany, and I do all the scheduling and billing for the office. I grew up here in West Jordan and graduated from Copper Hills High School in 2000. After graduation, I attended the Utah Institute of Dental Assisting. I began working for Dr. Johansen in 2011 and truly LOVE my job! I love to talk to all our patients and help them with any of their insurance and dental questions. In 2004, I married the love of my life and we are very proud parents to our beautiful daughter, Olivia. I love to spend my free time with my family camping and riding our ATV.
Hi, Im Emily and I am a hygienist for Dr. Johansen. I was born to a family of 11 and raised in a rural farming community in Raft River, Idaho. After graduating from Declo High School, I followed my aspiration to become a dental hygienist and completed two years at Idaho State University before moving to Beeville, Texas where I attended the dental hygiene program at Coastal Bend College and graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2004, I married my sweetheart Jeff and decided to make Utah my permanent home. I am a proud mother of three beautiful children. I love playing the piano and violin. I also love the outdoors, archery, target shooting, hunting, camping, and fishing.
My name is Courtney, and I am a dental assistant for Dr. Johansen. I have been with his office for 4 1/2 years, but I have been a dental assistant for 6 years. I LOVE what I do. I graduated as a dental assistant through the Granite Technical Institute that was offered through Kearns High School where I graduated in 2009. I have been married to the most amazing man for 2 1/2 years and we are expecting our first son in June, 2004. As Dr. Johansens assistant, I have learned many different things within the dental field. I love learning new things everyday. I enjoy getting to know our patients when they are in the office. Dr. Johansen is a great boss and creates an enjoyable working atmosphere and place to come to each day.
Hi, my name is Kirsten. I graduated from Copper Hills High School in 2012. In 2011, during my junior year, I took Dental Assisting classes through Jordan Applied Technology center. I have been a dental assistant for 2 years and I have loved every minute of it. I have been working at Dr. Johansens office since February 2014 and I love it so much. When Im not at work, I like to spend my free time with my family, friends, and boyfriend. I love the summertime and being outdoors. I also LOVE shopping and I have an addiction to shoes!

Very helpful and straightforward dental exam. For a reasonable price. Friendly staff and the wait time was short. Look forward to another appointment.

I've had many issues with Dr. Eric Johansen. I had a crown that broke and was replaced multiple times. My crown just broke a 3rd time and was told by my new dentist that it was not fitted correctly and that was why it broke. My insurance will not cover the replacement because it was replaced less than 5 years ago. I also had pain with that crown/tooth for over 5 years that Dr. Johansen couldn't figure out how to fix. I had to have an elective root canal to get the pain to go away all to find out that he didn't do a good job on the crown. Would not recommend Eric Johansen.

10/19/20- Still have yet to hear back from these guys about correcting my bill. EDIT FOR RECENT INFO- Right after I created this review, I get AN EMAIL, from this office telling me about my past due bill. First email I have ever received from them. So they can send me an fraudulent bill, but not reach out to me about it? UNETHICAL. I went here 1 time last year. They looked at my teeth and that was it. I received a check up but no cleaning, the only thing I went in for. The nurse told me that the dentist had done so much cleaning that day, he was not doing any more. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I MADE THE APPT. They wanted to get me set up for perio. and some other things for a future appr. So we planned on that. They ended up billing my insurance for stuff that I did not even get done. I ended up not going back, because I quit my job that my insurance was through. I cancelled my future appt. I told them I would pay my bill, IF THEY TOOK OFF THE WORK THAT WAS NOT DONE. It is NOT OK for a dentists office to bill for something they did not do. They are still calling me about a past due bill. Please do what I asked, and I will pay my bill.

I always tease Dr. Johansen that I hate going to the dentist which is true, but his staff has always been friendly and so comforting to someone like me they truly make it enjoyable. I always feel like family when I go in. Tiffany does a great job at calling me back in a timely manner regarding billing questions or setting appointments. These guys really are amazing, Dr. Johansen also saved me quite a bit of money by being truthful that I didn't need as much work as originally planned. I appreciate each of them so very much. Thank you !

We switched to this dentist after I lost two fillings from the dentist I was going to. I hate going to the dentist but definitely not because of these wonderful people. Tiffany is an amazing receptionist who knows me and my family well. Dr. Johansen is personable and knows what he's doing, not to mention he's very funny. The hygenists are usually amazing, only the ones I don't know have ever made me slightly unhappy with my cleaning procedures, but the job gets done well and I have no specific or reoccurring complaints. Checkups aren't confusing at all as Dr. Johansen fills you in as necessary on what needs to be done. And finally, every time I do need a filling done, the doc and the helper chat and make me feel comfortable and even make me smile while there are tools in my mouth. It's a tight knit group and you can tell all the employees are like family to each other. Very good atmosphere here and I adore having them all to take care of my mouth. Oh, and haven't lost a single filling. :)
