Dr. Justin Grant Johansen (Dr. Grant) is a native Arizonan and a graduate of Chandler High School. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. Dr. Johansen then obtained his D.M.D. degree at A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He also earned a Master's degree in Public Health from A.T. Still University. There he had many opportunities to work in community health clinics and learn from some of the best clinicians in Arizona and around the country. During his clinical rotations around the nation, Dr. Johansen honed his clinical skills in order to provide a safe, painless, and quality dental experience for all types of patients. Continuing education is vitally important. Since graduation, Dr. Johansen has earned certification in Tip Edge Orthodontics and Invisalign braces.

Dr. Johansen has an amazing wife, Kara, and two children, Henry and Quinn. He also enjoys all types of sports including, wake surfing, snowboarding, golf, tennis, soccer, and biking. His favorite sport is Volleyball and regularly plays in tournaments. He has participated in the Phoenix marathon for over 5 years in a row. I have been in the dental field for 13 years. My career started out as a back-office dental assistant. My passion for dental only grew from there. I continued my dental education by learning digital designing and digital scanning. I have now continued my care for patients in a new way as the office manager and insurance/patient specialist. I enjoy handling the accounts and insurance aspects of dentistry.

I love Johansen Dental because of its positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment. I enjoy the growth happening here and helping make our team dreams a reality. In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children. In my opinion, the best place to vacation is the beach.

My career in dentistry started in pediatrics as a dental assistant. I have a passion for connecting and educating patients and parents and from there found an appreciation for the front office. Previously before dental work, I was a chef for 10 years and love to talk about food, culture, and hiking destinations.

My career in dentistry began in 1983. I worked as a certified dental assistant for one year after high school before continuing my education in dental hygiene. I joined Dr. Johansen in 1995, and since that time, I've gotten to know many of our patients on both a professional and personal level. I enjoy meeting new people, so I welcome new patients to our office and look forward to getting to know them, as well! I've been happily married for 24 years and have four sons. I love animals, traveling, and sports, but my favorite time of day is early in the morning when I walk with my dogs.

I have been a dental hygienist since 2016. I attended Minnesota State University-Mankato. I enjoy building relationships with all of my patients and love seeing their smiling faces! In my free time, I love to hike, go shopping and hang out with my husband and our dog. I love to travel whenever possible and going back home to Minnesota to visit friends and family including my adorable niece named Avery!

My name is Andrea Carrillo and have been in the dental industry for about four years and have been loving it every day! I have been with Johansen Dental for about six months but feels like I have been a part of their team forever! Dr. Johansen is so welcoming and a generous and kind doctor to work with and couldnt have asked for a better doctor! What really intrigued me about being a dental assistant was being able to meet new and different people each day I come into work. Being able to build a relationship and getting to know them on a personal level helps them feel more at ease when coming to the dentist and of course helping improve their smile in any way we can is the cherry on top. When I am not in the office I'm spending time with my two pups Ollie and Ophelia watching 90 Day Fianc!

My love for dentistry started by helping patients be confident and happy with their smiles. Being able to do such a rewarding career is a dream come true.
