In 1999, upon graduating Valedictorian from Beaver Creek High School in West Jefferson, Dr. Yates attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2002, Dr. Yates earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He was accepted into the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and graduated in 2006. He was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honors. Immediately after graduation, he moved back to Jefferson, North Carolina and began construction on his office. The office opened its doors in July 2006. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, farming, gardening, movies, traveling, cooking, and being outdoors.
Pam has been working with Dr. Yates since he opened his practice in 2006. She was born and raised in Jefferson, NC, and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Dental Assisting program. Pam loves keeping the office seasonally decorated. She is an active member of West Jefferson United Methodist Church. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Gwyn, and daughter Brittany, who always has projects planned for her. Pam is one of the first people you speak to when you call our office and can handle all of your dental needs!
Helen has worked in the dental field for over twenty years, beginning her career in California. She enjoys making all patients feel comfortable and right at home. Helen enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and water sports during the summer. Helen specializes in CEREC crowns where you can watch your new crown become digitally fabricated and wear it home the same day.
Amanda was born and raised in Galax, VA. She loves creating a bright, healthy smile for her patients as she is one of our dental hygienists. Amanda loves spending time with her family. She and her husband are raising twin daughters and that is a great joy in her life. When she's not at work, she loves being outdoors and especially loves horseback riding on Mount Rogers.
Sarah was born in Florida, but has been a Carolina girl most of her life. She has always dreamed of living in the mountains of North Carolina. She and her husband made that dream a reality in 2019. Sarah has been in the dental field for 40 years! She is one of the first people you will speak to when you call our office and can handle all of your dental insurance needs. When Sarahs isnt at work she can be found cheering on her Florida gators!
Chrissy is the newest member of our team! She has been in the dental field for over 20 years and serves as a Dental Assistant in our office. She has a bright smile and a cheerful personality. We can't wait for you to meet her! Chrissy relocated to Ashe County, NC all the way from Los Angeles, CA in 2020. She loves exploring the mountains of NC with her fiance.

Most excellent service. I just praise the LORD, for the kindness I was shown last year when I had an abscessed tooth. Charles had a cancellation that day, got me right in, Dr Yates saw me and I was given the help I needed. The LORD worked all of this out, as I was a new patient.
