Dr. Joel R. Korczak D.D.S., M.A.G.D. has been helping people with their dental health since 1981 after he graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry with honors. He attained his undergraduate degree from the Loyola University of Chicago along with other training. Dedicated to his craft, he continues to get further advanced training on new techniques, procedures, tools, and more. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Indiana State Dental Society, Northwest Indiana Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. He understands what it takes to help give you relief and does everything he can to ensure he is as up-to-date to grant you the best possible dental services. Dr. Korczak also holds a fellowship and a mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Not only does Dr. Korczak hold himself accountable, but he holds his entire staff to the same level, ensuring you have the best possible experience while in our care. Our hygienists, technicians, front-of-house staff, and dental assists have trained in all the dental arts to deliver dental services when you need us most. Our focus is on making sure you feel comfortable while in our chairs. We also help by explaining all procedures and answering any questions you have about your dental health. Mary began her dental assistant career in 1978 in Chicago, Illinois after attending Felician College. In her 38 years of working as a dental assistant, 11 have been with Dr. Korczak's team. Mary loves her job and coworkers. She enjoys interacting with patients and tending to their dental needs. Mary has been married for 34 years, has 3 children, and 5 grandchildren. Outside of being a dental assistant, she spends her time gardening, cooking, and horseback riding.
Dr. Fozkos received his undergraduate degree from Wabash College and graduated from Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. While in dental school, he participated in a dental mission serving underprivileged patients in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Fozkos has been in private practice for the past few years and has received advanced training in implant restorations, restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and endodontic therapy. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the Northwest Indiana Dental Society.
Outside of the office, Dr. Fozkos has a passion for live music and cooking, and he is also an avid Chicago sports fan. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys staying active by swimming, cycling, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr Korczak, explained everything that he was doing to me. That I truly appreciated. I'm now scheduling both my daughters to see him. I have never came across a gentle dentist. Thanks to his staff as well. Marissa was the greatest. Thanks to Sue for everything as well. My kids are bigger now and they appreciate Dr Fozkos greatly. They love how he talks to them about any and everything prior to and during the exams.

I am a patient of Dr. Korczak's; however on the afternoon of the beginning Labor Day week end, I had terrific tooth pain and Dr. Fozkas saw me with out an appointment ! He prescribed medication and set me up with a referral. Words can't describe how much better I felt. Thank you

Dr Korczak had been my husbands dentist since childhood and my in-laws still go here so when we married 8 years ago I made the switch. I'm glad I did. We drive from south crown point to highland and I don't mind a bit. Besides our checkups twice a year, I've had one filling in this time and it was like none other. Zero pain nor discomfort. He has amazing methods and bedside manner. The new doctor on staff is equally amazing and knowledgeable. The hygienists are second to none! Also super knowledgeable and never cause any discomfort. Office staff super friendly and helpful. Everyone is awesome with kids. There is no place like it! Truly. I had been to so many different dentists over the years and kept switching as I was never quite happy in one facet or another. I highly recommend.

Dr. Korczak is a great dentist, he's very thorough, always concerned with the patient's comfort, I totally trust him. His entire staff is very friendly, extremely professional, the office is sparkly clean and their equipment is state of the art. PJ is a super dental hygienist and I always look forward to seeing her. If you want to be able to look forward to your dentist appointments, this is the place for you!!
