Went in at 3:45 pm as an emergency on a Monday w an abscessed tooth, in more pain than I've ever experienced in my life. Swollen face. The receptionist and dr were the only two people there. I Said it's an emergency and I can't eat, sleep or think as the infection is in my nasal area and the pain is unbearable. Im sure the dr could hear me as his office was just feet away. The receptionist said we're done for the day and handed me a stack of papers to fill out and said come back tomorrow at 1:30 or go to urgent care. 3:45pm and you're telling me the dr couldn't have given me an antibiotic for an absolute emergency?! That was my experience. Ended up going to the emergency room at the hospital because urgent care closes at 5. The hospital gave me an antibiotic and some Ibuprofen which is what Joel Bickler could have done in 2 minutes. The receptionist wouldn't even ask to Dr. if he could see me. Why? They are both lazy and wanted to go home. The next day the receptionist called me cause i was a no show. I told her that I thought turning me away w/ an infection, emergency, etc... was wrong and she said, "we're not obligate to see you and you're not a regular patient. She also said that I should have taken care of this problem before. Thanks a lot!!! PS: If you're an animal lover, do not go here as the Dr. has his prized kills hanging everywhere in the form of heads and skins. I do not leave bad reviews unless I am forced to. I did not like doing this but the pain I was in was unreal and they could care less. Please help me Dr. Bickler. No! An abscessed tooth can cause very serious consequences including tooth loss, jaw bone damage, sinus involvement, brain infection, heart complications and even death. The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act While a doctor has every right to deny treatment for various reasons, they can't refuse to treat a person with life-threatening or serious injuries even if they don't have health insurance or the ability to pay.

Dr. Bickler was kind, patient, and funny. I had a lot of anxiety about having my fillings re-done, but he took as much time as I needed to calm down and fix them up. Definitely recommend for anyone who has a fear of going to the dentist.

Creepy deer heads stare down from every wall and Dr Bickler forgets things and blames it on you or his staff. Listen for the phrase "I specifically remember..." Why is there no zero stars option? Don't go here unless you're looking for a haunted mansion-vibe.

Such an amazing team. Everyone made me feel like they care. Rose and Deven at the front were awesome and Leslie and Dr Bickler stayed late on a friday to help me because I was in so much pain. So thankful for everyone there.

The receptionist and people in the office greeted me promptly were courteous and professional. The dentist himself took the time kindly to explain things about my dental work and what might need to be done in the future. I was treated wonderfully. June Daniel

Dr Bickler has been my dentist since I was a kid. He's meticulous and cares about his patients. He did a perfect job on my braces, and even put my teeth back together after a horse kicked me in the jaw and knocked several of them out. I'd never go anywhere else. My daughter now goes to him as well, and she actually looks forward to going to the dentist.

I desperately needed a dentist.. have been living in Big Bear city for at least six years..have tried other Dentists in the area with no positive results..Finding Dr Bickler was the best experience in Dentistry in this area..plus he is a kind and gentle soul .. his staff is just as pleasant and thorough as he his..a very informative group all in one. I've had sooo much work done on my teeth since I was five years old I am now 82.. still going to the Dentist with not many good experiences..so I am very nervous when going in.. Dr. Bickler and staff made me feel well taken care of.. My last visit I had Three teeth pulled .. I was nervous about this .. as it turned out it went well.. day after still no pain ,very little swelling and is healing in record speed.? Don't know how he accomplished this but he is my dentist until I disappear from this plain.. lol P.S. he has the latest equipment that make the procedure more relaxing...A BIG THANK YOU DR. BICKLER...
