I began my career in dentistry at the age of 18 as a dental assistant, and later graduated from Bergen Community Colleges dental hygiene program in 1989. I have been employed with Dr. Joel Singer for over 20 years. With 22+ years of dental experience, I have gained great understanding of dental fears and phobias and I am dedicated to helping patients through these challenges. Over the years Ive learned that being compassionate, truly listening, and making a patient feel safe and comfortable can turn a frightening experience into an educational and enjoyable one. Its satisfying to know that my patients dont feel like a number but part of our dental family.
My goal is to keep patients healthy by providing head and neck cancer screenings, periodontal screenings and diagnostic imaging. I also use patient education and regular cleanings to prevent serious dental issues. For example, if I notice the presence of periodontal disease or infection, I work with Dr. Joel Singer to provide a non-surgical therapy and partner with the patient to create a personalized homecare routine that will aid in managing their condition. I work alongside Dr. Joel Singer not only to keep patients healthy but also provide them a lifetime of smiles.
For 20 years I have been a Registered Dental Assistant. Ive been cross-trained in all aspects of our dental office, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with Dr. Joel Singer for most of my career. My goal is to be honest, compassionate, and supportive to my team and especially to our patients, whom I regard as part of my extended family. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my partner, John, and my dog, Brutus.
I am a Registered Dental Assistant and grateful to work with Dr. Singer and his staff. While in high school I fell in love with dentistry and have remained in the field for more than 30 years. I take my training very serious and stay current with continuing education courses a commitment that I find most important to my patients and colleagues. I find my jobs greatest rewards are to make my patients feel calm, comfortable and well informed and perhaps most of all to put a smile on their face. When not at the office, I enjoy cooking, traveling to warm places, and especially spending time with my husband and three children.
I have been a patient for a while and have only good things to say about Dr. Singers practice. The office is immaculate and the entire staff is friendly, efficient, caring and highly skilled. Dr. Singer takes time and explains what hes doing every step of the way and after procedures he follows up himself to make sure all is well which it always is. I recently needed an emergency visit during the pandemic and knew that his office would be safe to visit because of their history of best hygienic practices. They now adhere to an even higher standard ensuring the safety of staff and patients alike.

From my first scheduling call with Laurie to getting set up with Kelly and to my examination with Dr. Singer everything was seamless.When going to a new doctor/dentist office one is always worried that the staff can be unfriendly at times. Ive been to about 10 dentists, dr singer has been my favorite thus far. He has the latest technology, ozonated water, and leans in a more natural direction. Hes IAOMT accredited, is always very respectful of my time & gets me right in, is very direct & transparent with my teeth & has excellent bedside manner. Give him a try, I wholeheartedly recommend
I had extensive dental work performed by Dr Singer and Dr Singer has been the best dentist I have been to and believe me I had my fair share of dental problems . His staff is excellent and both Dr Singer and his staff are compassionate. In this day and age Dr Singer finds time to make a call to check on his patients. I have found my dentist

Dr. Singer is the best. Point blank. I have significant anxiety surrounding the dentist, and he has always made me feel at ease. Its the little things, from the way they speak to you on the phone like youre a person and theyre not reading off a script, to the fact that they know you by name when you walk in the door, to the phone call after to make sure youre doing OK. He and his staff are amazing.
Dr. Joel Singer graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson College of Dental Medicine, and completed post-graduate training in advanced general dentistry at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor. 1988 Dr. Joel Singer established a private practice while continuing advanced courses in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, including completion of the prestigious Advanced Ultimate Esthetic Program. Dr. Joel Singer was selected to serve as Clinical Instructor of Advanced Aesthetic Continuums at New York University where he taught these advanced techniques to other dentists.

Dr. Joel Singer has been a member of The Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS) since 2000. The DOCS provides advanced training in the use of oral sedation, which allows his office to safely provided sleep dentistry. This service provides anxious patients and those requiring extensive treatment to complete their necessary treatments in total comfort as well and in a shorter time.
Since 1993, Dr. Joel Singer has been a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and has earned his Fellowship in the Institute for Natural Dentistry (FIND). He uses exclusively mercury-safe, bio-compatible materials and employs the safest methods for the removal of mercury fillings as per the IAOMT strict standards. Dr. Joel Singer recently became a member of the International Association of Mercury Free Dentists (IAMFD), an association for dentists who are committed to the philosophy, concepts and practice of mercury-safe dentistry.
