I rate Dr. Finazzo's office a 0....I wouldn't recommend anyone to take a child with a disability to this dentist. First, parents aren't allowed back with their child. Second, my daughter was crying, Dr. Finazzo jerked my daughter's chin and told her to be quiet, rather than coming to get me..unacceptable!!

I'm an adult that started getting braces late with Mr Finazzo. Later on towards the end the business transfered over to Jody. I came in once because my filling fell out of my front tooth. She said she would grind my tooth down just to smooth it out. She grinded it down until the chip was completely gone then asked to even it out on my tooth next to it. Although I gave my consent I wasnt aware of exactly what she was doing until she was done and handed me the mirror. It has taken me a lot time to write this review out of shame. I wouldn't trust this lady with my kids. By the way it was my two front upper teeth she ruined. My teeth look abnormally short

I gave a 1 because 0 is not available. My 2 oldest girl need dental work and my husband company changed insurance so we had to find a new dental office. We went to the office and the staff was great at first. The first set of procedures were done and they call to confirm for next set in the process they send we owned $200 more. I did understand because we ask for the bill before and after time of service, then I pay. Now after some about 10 week with call for new appointment they say we own more money. After I tell her to send me the details she said she has to loom it up I'm now confused because you said your looking at my account and saw we own more money what do you have to look up. Sounds like some fraud. If that wasn't enough than my kids said mom we don't want ot go back to them any more. I ask why they both told me of there very similar and terrifying of being yelled at and made to stop crying now I was shocked because when they walked them out they said they both did great and didn't cry. Looking back I thought it was odd that they didn't let the parents go back. They said it was do to the Pandemic. So I guess I didn't think anything about. Will never return and seek legal advice about how they are doing the whole operation.

Absolutely loved the staff. I took my 3 year old for his first appointment and he was so comfortable that he let them take his X-rays with no problem. They explained everything to me as they worked and really made it a comfortable experience for my son. I took my 18 month toddler as well and she wasn't the best patient but they never complained and had so much patience with her. I highly recommend this dentist office to everyone I know.

I have been taking both of my children to Dr. Jody Finazzo for years, and I would recommend this clinic to anyone. My children always have positive experiences during their visits, and do not mind going to their check-ups at all.

I've taken my youngest son here for the last few years. He refused to cooperate at the regular dentist, so I chose to drive him up to the pediatric dentist. We have had good experiences here every time. He watched the videos at his first appointment, let them count his teeth , let them brush his teeth & attempted X-rays. I went back for the first visit only. In my experiences with my three boys, kids cooperate better without having mom to cling to. Same story for preschool, the longer the goodbye was, the more upset or difficult my kids were. I get the whole go back alone thing!

Parents beware. Not good with kids. Doctor is rude. No good at calming children very traumatic my daughter now fears the dentist.

I took my son here one time. Place was dirty, they were way past schedule (we went back over an hour after our appointment time), and despite claiming she could work with disabled pediatric patients, they didn't seem that familiar - they went straight for the papoose board. After finding out she wouldn't let me go back with him on a next visit I was done. Check out Dr. Golnick in Taylor - he is awesome! My son's autism is severe; Golnick's office is clean, professional, good staff, he's patient with my son and goes for the least restrictive work environment (I hold my son!).

My son came out of there looking shell shocked after fillings. I had told him prior to arriving, that if there was any pain he could raise his hand and let the dentist know. That they would take their time, and not force anything. That he didn't need to worry at all. I made it clear to them prior that he was a little nervous, and if he was apprehensive to the point of crying or really stressing out, please do not do the work. The receptionist said not to worry, that they would put a "calming blanket" on him. And stop the work if he wasn't able to do it. I assumed the "blanket" was something like those heavy X-ray blankets they throw over you where your arms are free. When my son came out they told me "he did well, just a little wiggling, but no tears." There was an apprehensive sound to their voice when they said that. His eyes were like a deer in headlight when he came out. They then proceeded to charge me for "behavior management" (the full price for that is $75 - not covered by insurance). After they were gone my son told me through tears that he was terrified, that he was in a lot of pain at times, & that he never wants to do that again. I assumed it was just normal kid nervousness, a part of the deal, and told him he did a great job and it was all over. I was surprised though when he told me on our drive home, that during the work his arms were tied down, and he couldn't raise his arm as I said, to tell them he was in pain. He said he tried hard to raise his arm and couldn't. I had no idea what he was talking about. I did research and found papoose boards - (it's basically a fully body straight jacket). My older son had work done that day as well, and was not nervous, he did well, and the dentist and workers all confirmed confidently that he did fantastic when getting his tooth pulled. I showed my older son the images of the papoose boards, & he confirmed, "yes I was in one of those. It looked just like that, only my head wasn't strapped in like those." My younger son also confirmed saying his legs and arms couldn't move. There was no discussion at all about my children needing to be in straight jackets. My son said he tried hard to raise his hand. He said his legs were trapped too. He was feeling very unsafe and in a lot of pain. Unfortunately, as much as I like Jody and her team as people, when it comes to children dentistry, Jody has a get the job done as fast and as serious as possible attitude. I was told by the very nice receptionist prior to my sons dental work, that if he was fussing, that Jody would stop the work. I asked that she would. Apparently, according to them, he didn't "fuss" as the work went on without me being notified. But he was in a straight jacket, and couldn't move his arms, legs, and said his mouth was lodged open, and that he was trying to tell them he was in pain! How would they know to notify me of fussing in a situation like that? If he was "having a little wiggle" as they referred to it. I really don't like writing reviews that could mar others reputation, but I felt obligated for the sake of other families and children. I didn't realize it until recent, but there are plenty of dentists who allow the parents in the room! My older son had a tooth removed prior to this experience, with my husband in the room at a different dentist! The whole thing went wonderfully! Then months later Jody has this same son of mine in a straight jacket removing a tooth without a parent in the room - as per their rules (no parents allowed back). Our older son did wonderful again, but seriously, the straight jacket was not needed at all for him! Our older son has been very compliant. Why did my younger son get charged for "behavior management" & the other did not, when I was told they both did well, and I found out on my own later that they were both strapped to a chair and forced through the work regardless of pain level? It seems they both had the exact same "behavioral management" - shove the kid in a straight jacket, and get the job done. These policies, charges, and experience all seem very sketchy.
