Jim Bowden D.D.S. was born and raised in El Paso, where he played on the state championship basketball team at Eastwood High School in 1976. He then went on to play basketball for the legendary coach Don Haskins at the University of Texas at El Paso. He completed his dental training and pediatric dental training at the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio and then went on to be trained in orthodontics at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. Dr. Bowden is board eligible in both specialties and has the distinction of being the only dual trained specialist in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in El Paso.
He has been in practice since 1986 and strives to provide all his patients with the most advanced and comprehensive oral care available. Dr. Bowden is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the El Paso District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Corina - Born and raised in El Paso. Her responsibilities include pediatric dental and orthodontic new patient coordinator, chairside assisting for both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics and coordination of lab procedures. Corina has one daughter and two sons.
Cindy - Born and raised in El Paso. Cindy's responsibilities include chairside assisting for both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Cindy has three sons and one daughter. She enjoys swimming, cooking and singing.
Sylvia - Born in El Paso. Sylvia's responsibilities include making all financial arrangements for pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, orthodontic new patient coordinator, orthodontic treatment coordinator and scheduling and phone duties. Sylvia has one daughter.

My daughter Hailey was a patient of Dr. Bowden for braces. We had to move in the middle of treatment and we miss this practice so badly! They were always friendly, on time, the office is welcoming, and clean. I can't say enough good about both Dr. Bowden and his team. Appointments are always punctual and quick as well. I would recommend them to anyone!

There's a reason there are so many amazing reviews of this office! We waited for only 5 minutes before we were taken back for our pediatric appt, and the staff was so friendly and informative right from the start. Shoutout to Cindy for making this such an enjoyable visit for me and my toddler. :) And Dr. Bowden was very kind. They did a great job with my son (he's only 2), and I'm so relieved this is our new dentist. Thanks, Dr. Bowden's office!

Excellent service from a dental practice whose ethical practices ensure all services rendered uphold a level of integrity sorely lacking at other general dentistry offices. My daughter required no work upon examination. She had an exam at Smile Heroes dental office on Zaragoza where they claimed she needed 5 cavities filled. Dr. Bowdens office is worth the commute to the westside of town. True to date...best pediatric/adolescent dentist in town!10/13/2022.

We've had several rough experiences at other dentists in the area. Despite it not being all great news, Dr. Bowden and his staff were kind and compassionate. The office was clean. As a parent I felt very comfortable with the way everything was explained to me. This entire practice appears geared towards the comfort of children and their parents. I highly recommend Dr. Bowden.

Took my 15 month old for his first dentist appointment. The office is so nice and welcoming especially for kids. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and professional. It made it a very easy visit and my son was very happy the entire time.

I had to reschedule and they worked with me to get my daughter in sooner than later. They always greet you with a smile. They make you feel like family. My older daughter had her braces done here as well and her teeth are perfect. They do amazing work. So much so that I have been driving from the far east to the westside for all my children's dental needs, my oldest is now 24 and I will continue to take my 6 year old till he's done with his ortho needs and grows out of the chair like my older one did.
