Dr. Julia Hu graduated at West China Medical University in 1985, majored in Dentistry. Dr. Hu practiced as a dentist and instructor in Xiangya (Yale in Changsha) Medical University. In 2000, she received a DDS diploma at Loma Linda University in the US. Dr. Hu worked individually and for the US Navy in Texas, New Jersey and in California. She is the first Chinese American dentist who hold doctor degree of dental surgery in China and US in the Navy reported by the World Journal. It made front page. During her working in the Dental department of US Navy General Hospital, she experienced intensively in oral surgery, root canal, periodontal surgery and orthodontic treatments. She worked on tens of thousands of uniformed service people who were fighting against terrorists globally.
Separated with honor from the Navy, she went to the University of Medical and Dental in New Jersey for her advanced periodontic and implant specialty. She handled the most complicated implant patients for the University hospital. Dr. Hu had been the only honor student in the periodontics department during her school years and graduated as Chief Resident in UMDNJ
As a professional, I believe in education, and frequently speak to my patients about preventive care, helping them to take better care of themselves to avoid dental procedures. My family have been with Dr Ji Li for two decades. She is professional and highly skilled. We followed her from the Milpitas office to the Pleasanton office because of the trust. Highly recommend!

Dr. Hu is a very skilled dentist. My family has been with Dr. Hu for around 10 years since she moved to the Dublin office. She is always incredibly helpful when we see her, and she helps families save money as much as they can (e.g. she recommended that my daughter not get braces since she didn't need them, which was a great decision). I would highly recommend her to anyone!

An endodontist told me extract a tooth and get implant. Dr. Hu saved the tooth with a root amputation only removing 1 root!! Very smart move!

Lower Ethics lower quality of care to me. She took the money from Insurance, but did not do her job I finished invisiline in another dental office and planning a implant with her. Asked her whether we should do a retina after we do the implant or not. She answer no need to wait for the implant. She will try to make the implant fit the retinar. However, after we did a retinar. We did implant in her office and the retinar did not fit at all. The insurance dose not cover another retinar and she did not recommend any solution and caused my invisiline on the upper totally failed. Besides this, she took the money from insurance for a night guard, but never made a night guard for me. So that all these years, I did not ware any night guard or retinar on my upper teeth. Still another, she recommended me not to my use electronic brush but only the ordinary teeth brush, when I found my gum disappears seriously on the side of implant with a big gap between a teeth-there, and top root of the teeth beside the implant show out. . It also showed the implant one side with a big gap and one side tight to another teeth. I was surprised and requested for treatment, she said she could not do anything for me. And she said in about 5 years every of my teeth will be like that with a big gap between teeth. She count each one takes how many years would happen. I said what if I brush three or four times a day, she said it still would. As a gum specialist, she never recommended night guard or deep cleaning or electric teeth brush. Just telling me this would happen in how many years. I felt I was really being treated as a fool. With unlimited dental insurance, my teeth got worse in her place. She seems has plan on me.
