Dr. Patel is a true explorer. He has had the unique experience of living in India, Africa, and England before finally settling in the United States. His interest in science, love of working with his hands, and desire to help others motivated him pursue a career in dentistry.
He went on to graduate from the Virginia Commonwealth University Dental School with the distinction of academic honors. He began his career as a general dentist with a group practice. His experience there, coupled with his volunteer work with the Red Cross and several service missions, ignited his interest and passion for pediatric dentistry.
To further his expertise, Dr. Patel completed a two year Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Minnesota. The program provided him with excellent mentorship and plenty of hands-on training while treating hospitalized children with complex medical cases.
After completing the residency, Dr. Patel and his wife Archana moved to the Wild West to be closer to family. They have two beautiful children, Shayen and Anya, and absolutely love raising their family in North Phoenix.

Do your research, ask specific questions because this office will just run through information and releases as if they won't have an impact on YOUR child. They have my child Valium, Demerol and Vistaril without telling me *exactly* what the "calming solution" was. I had to ask after she had a reaction, after they neglected to check up on her for 3 days after a crown for $1500. This kind of service and behavior is not needed so we will go elsewhere. A balloon and a plastic toy cannot fool a child. Again, ask the hard questions, especially with this office.

This doctor only thinks how to make his job easier, and doesn't care about child health, just to get over with patients. When my daughter was 5 years old she got scared at this office, and doctor used general anesthesia to fix her teeth. Now she's 10, and have chipped molar , he wants her under general anesthesia again to extract the tooth. I went for second opinion, and this tooth can be saved, and also find out from X-ray that she has it impact teeth. And this doctor never paid attention to take a proper X-rays. All her X-ray are only the top of the teeth and no roots. As a pediatric dentist he should know to check on this problems and take a look on roots, all X-rays was only on a top of the teeth, never did panoramic X-ray. I went back to this doctor to ask how come he didn't see she has this problem. On what he said: it's not his fault, and our relationship is over. Now my daughter will have trauma, will be scared forever of dentists. He is arrogant careless doctor!! Board of dentistry should look at his practice!!!

Seriously the best dentist for kids. Fast, friendly, and catered to children. Themed rooms, movies overhead while they get worked on, and a prize at the end.

Dr. Patel and his staff are always so professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They make for a very comfortable environment, which is super important when visiting a dental office. Today my kids had their cleanings and X-rays. My kids are little still and Val and Kathy were amazing with them. They actually had fun and want to go back. They have an awesome setup there too. Dr Patel is also incredibly informative and kind. I highly recommend!

My son has been going to Jet Set Smiles for 5 years for routine 6 month cleanings and X-rays. We love our visits; appointments are very well organized with little wait time. Dr. Patel and all of his staff are extremely friendly and make the whole dental experience very enjoyable. The decor (England, Egypt and other paintings fill the walls) and treats for the kiddos (spin the wheel for a toy and a balloon) are a total plus as well! Definitely would recommend to other parents. **EDIT** 08/13/22 We are still doing business with Dr. Patel and his crew. My son has now had his routine check ups for over 8 years and my daughter has had 3 check ups. She is only 3 and the hygienist do a fabulous job communicating with her and completing a thorough clean. Still recommend this facility. Thank you!

Better every time.. Truly an amazing office with the kindest staff I have ever encountered. My son, Alex, has been afraid of the dentist so we were relieved when he had the best time ever!!! He got an x-rays, exam, cleaning, and sealant & enjoyed every minute of it. The decor immediately caught his attention so he was distracted from his anxiety. Next, he got a tour of the practice and thought each room was cooler than the other. The part he said he loved the most... getting x-rays!! The room is so amazing. It is intended to look like a cockpit of an airplane. So amazing!!! Once he sat down to have his exam, Alex was completely calm and enjoyed a movie on a flat screen tv that hung on the ceiling for his viewing pleasure. I can't say enough....but THANK YOU Dr. Patel and staff for creating such a fantastic office in our neighborhood. Your treatment and approach to treating children is perfect. We love Jet Set Smiles and will see you again in 6 months!

Jet Set Smiles is truely a Blessing They helped fix my sons cross bite and avoid braces when no one else could. Doctor's Bedside manner could not be better for a child , entire staff is kind. Everyone is so friendly and they really know how to treat and deal with kiddos of all ages. My kids are not scared of going to the dentist. The rooms are so colorful and each room has a mural painted on the walls. After the treatment, the kids get to choose a prize. Definitely recommend this place.

I am a dentist, and I have referred many patients to Dr. Patel and his wonderful team at Jet Set Smiles. Based on the great feedback I have received from my own patients, he is someone I have been very comfortable referring my own patients to. So, naturally, when it was time for my own three year old daughter to be seen by a pediatric dentist, I knew exactly where to take her. There are childhood growth and development timelines that us general dentists simply don't receive much training on, so I wanted to be sure that my daughter was seen by an expert at this critical stage in her own growth and development. First, the front desk staff were very friendly and inviting. Many children are naturally suspicious of any new and unfamiliar place, my daughter included. The ladies up front were all smiling and happy as we walked in the door, and they took the time to offer a friendly greeting to my daughter which had the effect of immediately putting her at ease. The office is kid-friendly, and everything about the design lends itself to making kids feel safe and comfortable. We were led to the operatory by a friendly assistant who asked my daughter questions to get her comfortable with the situation. She then offered to let my daughter watch a movie on the ceiling-mounted television as the assistant got to work cleaning her teeth. I wasn't sure how it would go, because sometimes brushing can be a challenge at home, but she did great! Dr. Patel came in later and did a quick examination. He was very friendly, and my daughter was very comfortable with him immediately. Given my daughter's natural tendency to be shy, she doesn't usually warm up to strangers quickly, but she was completely comfortable with everyone at Jet Set Smiles which is a testament to how well they handle children. Bringing my daughter to see Dr. Patel really made me feel comfortable with continuing to refer my own patients here in the future. I was very pleased with how the office was run, and with how the staff behaved. Dr. Patel is great, and he has surrounded himself with a great team.

I have 3 year old twin daughters and they love visiting Dr. Patel. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and professional. The hygienists made every effort to make my daughters feel comfortable and explained each tool and step in the process to clean their teeth. Highly recommend this office for young children and families!!

Dr. Patel is a caring and gentle dentist, and his hygienists are also patient and helpful. We have three kids, and I appreciate that his front office always accommodates our busy schedule and is often able to see all of our kids at once. One of our children is autistic and has sensory difficulties, and I have always felt that Dr. Patel goes out of his way to make him feel as comfortable as possible. Dr Patel and his staff are amazing. They put my kids at ease right away. Scheduling appointments has been easy. My child had her 2 different cavities filled on separate occasions with Dr Patel and he has great bedside manners and right away put my daughter at ease and made what can be a difficult experience very comfortable for my child. Facility is easy to find with easy parking. Office is fun with murals from places across the world. We've been seeing him for many years and highly recommend him. He is the best!!!
