Dr. Yang attended Taipei Medical University Dental College from 1984 to 1990, and the New York University College of Dentistry from 1991 to 1993. After completing his dental degree, Dr. Yang continued his education from 1993 to 1995 in the Advanced Education Program in Prosthetics at New York University. Today, Dr. Yang continues to further his education by taking semi-annual continuing education courses. He is also a member of the Northeastern Gnathological Society (NGS) and the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP).
Dr. Yang has been practicing in the Parsippany area for 20 years, and he strives to provide the best possible dental treatments that are designed to meet the needs of each individual patient and that will achieve the best possible outcome. Dr. Yang has also been recognized for his skill and dedication to dentistry. He was given the Best Clinical Faculty award by Residents PG Prostho in 2011, 2010, and 2009. Dr. Yang was also recognized for his compassionate nature towards his patients when he received the David B. Kaiser Award of Compassion in 1993. Dr. Yang always listens to his patients, and maintains great patient communication throughout treatment, whch augments his considerate, understanding, and accommodating care.
In addition to being a dedicated clinician in his private practice, Dr. Yang has also committed a large portion of his career to teaching and guiding young dentists in an academic environment. He started teaching undergraduate dental students in 1993 while he received his training in prosthodonticsat New York University. He was awarded many co-assistant professorships upon completing his program in 1995. The first phase of his teaching spanned 1995 to 2001. As a young prosthodonitst, he worked mainly with undergraduate dental students in their simulated lab exercises and supervised their clinical activities during patient care. After taking a break for a few years, he returned to academia in 2006. He focused his energies in training dentists in a post-graduate prosthodontist program, the same program from which he graduated over a decade earlier. He also served as a member of theCurriculum Committee and helped to shape the future of dental education. Along with his supervisory and clinical duties, he was also heavily involved in administrative activities and helped students to develop their research projects and table clinic presentations. Dr. Yang left the job in 2012 for personal reasons.

I visited Dr. Yang to find out about the problem with my teeth. To protect us all, only one patient is in the office at a given time. The office is kept sterile and the protocol set me at ease that I'm in a safe environment for my dental visit. Dr. Yang was on time for my appointment. As usual, he was friendly, professional, courteous, and answered all my questions plus provided additional information that I should know about my teeth. It was a very pleasant visit.

Just had my first visit to Dr Yang and I am very happy. Chris is a great intro to the office and Dr Yang took his time to explain my xrays. The cleaning was very comfortable and thorough. I totally recommend.

We've been visiting Dr. Yang for over 15 years. My kids grown up with him. The best dentist I've ever had. Dr. Yang is very professional and thorough with the exam, cleaning and filling. He explained everything he was doing and really took care of us. I also wanted to mention his dental assistant Chris, he is super friendly and always makes me feel comfortable there. He gave us toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss every time we had cleaning. Let's also not forget the text and email reminders so you don't forget your appointment! I give it my highest possible recommendation. I continue to receive excellent service from this practice and would recommend to those looking for a wonderful and complete dental experience to visit Dr. Yang.

Since meeting Dr. Yang and being in his care (and that of his assistant, Chris), I no longer dread a dental appointment. I proudly stick to my regular (every 6 months) visits, for cleaning and x-rays. I have maintained this relationship for over 10 years and, honestly, have never left Dr. Yang's office unhappy or dissatisfied, in any manner. In fact, one of the last fillings Dr. Yang worked on in my mouth made me feel beautiful! He did NOT give me that silver filling; instead, it was a filling tinted to match the color of my teeth -- it blended in with the rest of my "ivories" in a lovely way. Truly, I smiled broadly when I saw Dr. Yang's work -- once I was able to relax enough to peek in the mirror and discover this unexpected surprise! Dr. Yang is truly compassionate; he is skilled enough to handle a variety of patients (quirky, like me!); and has the wisdom and experience to know when a problem is serious (needing immediate care) or is just a dental issue to keep an eye on. Admittedly, a dental practice can only attend to a narrow part of my overall health. However, I feel I get much more when I keep my appointments with Dr. Yang. I am confident that my regular visits to this office will help keep my entire body in good order. I thank Dr. Yang and Chris for creating a dental office which is (almost) a fun experience! Seriously, I know how fortunate I am to have found Dr. Yang. It was serendipitous for me -- I know I can enter Dr. Yang's office, be welcomed, and feel the light-hearted vibe which is essential to help us all focus on dealing with the issue at hand: Acquiring the best dental health possible!

Both Chris and Dr. Yang are good people, but I was sent for a root canal having a cracked tooth. Ended up getting an extraction and implant.

I'm a patient of Dr. Yang for about 20 years. I see Dr. Yang every 6 month or so for my dental check-ups and it's always a pleasure to be there. My family has been going to Dr. Yang for many years and we have always had excellent care. He is honest and explains options when major work is needed. He actually replaced one of the crowns my previous dentist did that I had so many issues with and it was perfect. Chris in the office is so friendly and knows how to work with the insurance companies. I recommend Dr. Yang to anyone I know who is looking for a great dentist.
