Dr. Rinehart is one of the most respected and established dentists in the Columbus area. He graduated from Indiana Universitys School of Dentistry in 1982 and has been practicing in Columbus for 35 years. After dental school Dr. Rinehart completed a 2 year residency at the University of Tennessee, where he received his masters degree. While there, he trained at the UT School of Dentistry and le Bonheur and St. Judes Childrens hospitals. He also taught pediatric dentistry as an associate professor at Riley Childrens Hospital. He has taught as an associate professor at the IU school of Dentistry.
Dr. Rinehart currently is a sustaining member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Team for Implantology and the Columbus Regional Dental Society.
He has received training in advanced cosmetics procedure from The Hornbrook Group, and receives many hours of advanced continuing education in multidisciplinary care yearly through the Spear Faculty Club and his local Spear Study Club.
Dr. Rinehart focuses on providing advanced restorative procedures as well as general family services. When treatment services are outside of his expertise, he utilizes a team of local, board-certified specialists. He wants you to have confidence that the most qualified area professional will be providing your care.
Dr. Rinehart has been happily married for 32 years and has three children. He enjoys fishing, gardening, beekeeping, IU sports and spending time with friends, family and his dogs. He is an active member of Westside Community Church and supports various organizations such asDonated Dental Services, Dentistry from the Heart, United Way and Clarity Pregnancy Services.
Dr. Rinehart takes great pride in his team and the quality of care they each provide. Every member of his team is passionate about what she does and all are highly qualified and experienced. First initial visit for an exam, X-ray. I have had some not so great experiences in the past and I already know my fears can be halted at the door. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Shannon was great at explaining what's to come and easy to talk to. Dr. Rinehart is was professional and courteous. Grateful to be in such good hands.

Myself and family have been going to Dr. Rinehart for many years, I think at least 10 years. During that period he has treated us with great professionalism and care. There were times when he treated me on short notice to address a broken tooth or an abscess. He even ask me to call on weekends if needed. The work that Dr. Rinehart has performed has been excellent and I've had no issue with the treatment (unlike other dental treatments I've had). His staff is also very professional, friendly and helpful. The facilities are convenient to Columbus and are modern and the waiting room has a nice selection of fishing books! What more can you ask for?

Haven't had a regular dentist since before the pandemic. I broke a tooth & called Dr. Rinehart's office based on his excellent reviews. They got me in right away. I was treated great by the staff & Dr. Rinehart exceeded my expectations. I've already made an appointment for a check-up.

We switched family dentist to Dr. Rinehart through a friend's referral. The experience is definitely amazing. Not like some other dentists that always want to persuade you into procedure after every exam. He will make recommendation and monitor the situation. My son had a tooth ache yesterday and I was able to call today and got a same day appointment to check his teeth. He explained why it was hurting and patiently answered all my questions. His explanation about tooth alignment was EXACTLY what orthodontist explained to me last year. His adult tooth is not fully grown out yet and we need to wait for a few months to evaluate for the braces. He saved us a trip there!

I am a detail oriented person. After deciding that I would have cosmetic dentistry performed, I started doing my research on which dentist to select. I read the reviews and was very careful about the reviews that past clients had left about different dentists and ensured that I focused on cosmetic dentistry. I contacted several dentists as a preliminary screening tool. My thought was that if they're rude on the phones, that I'm not interested. That eliminated several offices right out of the gate. I called Dr. Rinehart's office and the individual (Chastity or Danielle I believe) was very informative and I didn't feel rushed or hurried - I liked that. Chastity is the office manager and Danielle is assistant to her as well as a dental assistant. They were both very polite, more than competent, and very helpful and they maintained that disposition throughout the entire process. I went with them because of that and because of Dr. Rinehart's experience with cosmetic dentistry. I knew based on the reviews that Dr. Rinehart was caring, professional, and thorough - it's not easy to have all of these traits!! My experience and outcome could not have been any better! Shannon (the dental assistant) was absolutely amazing. Shannon has over 10 years of experience and is super personable and highly qualified! I am super grateful for their work and cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you Dr. Rinehart and company! You guys truly are the best!!!!!!

Today was my first visit. I had not had a cleaning for 4 years primarily due to retiring...lost dental insurance...then moved to a new town...then the pandemic hit. I chose Dr. Rhinehart based on positive reviews. From start to finish, it was top notch. Friendly and helpful staff...hygienist did a fantastic job...and Dr. Rhinehart was professional, courteous and kind. I've made my next appointment in 6 months and my husband will be scheduling his first visit. Location is convenient...plenty of parking and the facility is very clean, bright and welcoming. I'm so happy to have found my new dentist!
